Hotel Block

How far out should we look at blocking hotel rooms? We're 10 months from the wedding and all of our guests are OOT (most just from Detroit area but I'm sure will stay). My mom keeps telling me to look into it but I thought it was still a little soon.

    It depends on how many rooms you need, what hotel you are using and if there is a major event in the area where the hotels would book up.  I booked ours 4 months in advance. We also had half our guests coming from out of town too.

    I am planning our wedding and also a hotel manager.  I would do it as soon as you know how many rooms you think you will need.
