Ceremony Programs

Okay I know I have been kinda MIA....working full time and recently moving FI in our apartment and trying to get that set up has left me with much less time but I love it!

Alright, so I picked out my ceremony music with the church organist/singer and I just ordered paper to make my programs. I have a few examples from previous weddings to guide me as far as format however, I have no clue how to go about designing the template layout wise....

I just want a 81/2x11 page folded in half like a card with print on all 4 sides. Very simple. However, do I design it both sides on one page, or each page on a separate prize...? Help please! I've tried doing it with keynote & pages (like word and powerpoint for macs) but I haven't gotten anywhere...

Don't know why I'm having so much trouble! haha

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure that I printed two pages (front & back, two inside pages) each on one page, printed one first and then flipped the paper over to print the other side.

It sounds like you have some amazing things going on right now! Moving in together must be so exciting for you!!! The clock is ticking lady, your big day is almost here!!!Laughing

That is the way I was thinking....but I wanted to see if what other people have done...

And yes exciting times :) However, I'm still at home and FI is moved in, I'll move in after the wedding so not together for right now! (But I am slowly moving stuff in every week and we have dinner together once a week, so almost haha)

And yes my ticker thing is getting so close, eeek!

I didn't go with that template, but a cousin of mine  did, at it worked fine for him. Mine is long thin and opens top to bottom (the guests flip the pages up ... as opposed to like a book). There's a title page, bp page, ceremony page, and acknowledgements. FI is a graphic artist so we used this template for a cousin's wedding for her wedding gift and people loooooved that it was different, so we kept it for our own! Aside from tying them all together it was really quite easy.

Do you have Word on your Mac? I rarely use Keynote and Pages...they confuse me.

We did a half-page fold, but we did it lengthwise, so they were long and thin. I just created columns in Word (I assume you can do it in the other programs).

Edit: When you create the columns for the cover (if you have multiple pages), remember that the front will be on the RIGHT side and the back will be on the LEFT. Use regular computer paper to test the folds. I made separate files for each page (program cover front and back, program insert first and last page, and program insert second and third page), and then I printed each file to the correct side of the sheet of paper.
