I need Restaurant Recs.

Hi all,

I'm back again for some restaurant recommendations. I came across the frog and the peach in NB but the reviews are so so. I a lot of them were saying for the price it isn't GREAT or Amazing... its "good" so I'm hoping some of you have any other places.

TIA

According to Tripadvisor in New Brunswick, Clydz is #1 and Due mari is #2 The Chefs Place is #3. Efes is #4.  The Frog and the Peach is #6. Good luck!

I've eaten Clydz (ecletic menu - has a lot of game meat), Due Mari and Soho on George and all of them were very tasty.

My favorite restaurants are Paisano's in Rutherford (BYOB), Edward's Steakhouse in Jersey City, Soul Flavors in Jersey City (BYOB), Iron Monkey in Jersey City (casual), Taste of Portugal in Newark, Madame Claude's in Jersey City (BYOB), Laico's in Jersey City, Fette Sau in Brooklyn (barbecue), Sabor Peru in Rutherford (BYOB), and The Venice in Bayonne (thin-crust pizza). I've had pizza at Michael's in Nutley and that's good, and their Italian dinners also look good but I haven't tried them yet.

Oh, and our friends have raved about Cafe Mattise in Rutherford but that's pricey.

I was at Soho on George last year around May. Shame if it's closed. Place had good steak and lamb jobs. Bueno Sera in Red Bank is good. They have a large menu but the place gets noisy.

Depending on hoew much you want to spend, check out these great places:
The Bernards Inn, Bernardsville - expensive
Matisse, Belmar - moderate and BYO
Whispers, Spring Lake - moderate and might be BYO
    Moonstruck, Asbury - expensive
Ninety Acres, Peapack - moderate, and incredsible romantic
