Where to block hotel rooms in Portland?

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on some decent hotels in SE area of Portland to block rooms? My FI and I had (I thought) already blocked rooms at one hotel but it turns out that they don't really reserve the rooms they just create a block in their system so basically IF a room is available then the guests can have it. That isn't ok with me. I need a gaurentee that those rooms will be available! Any suggestions??

    Are you wanting something in outer SE?  Most hotels are going to be centered around I-205, which if you're wanting something close-in isn't really going to be all that convenient.   

    There's a Comfort Suites off 205 that's pretty nice.  Closer in is the Jupiter Hotel (but it's not for everyone).

    Something right off of 205 would be perfect. I'll check into the Comfort Suites! Thank you for the info!

    The Monarch Hotel in Clackamas is nice and they have a Marriott right behind them too.
