When do you register??

So, at what point are you supposed to register?? It just dawned on me that I should probably get on that pretty soon - LOL!

My wedding invites will go out in January and my shower is March 3rd. Do y'all think I can wait til after the first of the year? I was hoping to avoid holiday crowds. Or do I need to do it now??

We registered in October because that's when we had the time and they were dong the Registry Event at Crate & Barrel.
I think it would be fine if you waited until after the Holidays.

We registered early just to get it done and out of the way, although I keep adding to it, lol. But I agree, I don't think it will hurt you to wait until after the holidays.

As long as you have it exactly how you want it by the time the shower invites go out, you should be fine. I'd say do it in January.

We too already registered, but if your invites aren't going out till January, I'd say you should be fine waiting until after the holiday madness. I would try and get registered before the invites go out though. That might just be me though.

We registered around April or May. Since we were having our engagement party in June and ppl wanted to bring gifts for it, we had to do it early.

We registered at the beginning of November because FI and I had the time. We made a day date out of it and went to lunch too! It was really fun! We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and eventually we are going to register somewhere else, probably target. I know the Knot checklist says you can register 8 months out, but I agree with PP you should be fine waiting till after the holidays. I think as long as you are registered by the time shower invites go out you are good!

We started registering right after we got engaged and we have continuously been updating it. Most places like macys, williams-sonoma, crate & barrel etc will let you start a registry online without having to go into the store. There are also good websites like amazon and cooking.com to register also.
