It all really depends on specific things you are looking for. Are you able to tell us what type of things you need deals on?

I too am wondering what exactly you're looking for good deals on. It never hurts to pay attention to Groupon & LivingSocial deals for different things. For Example, I've seen deals for Photobooths and different kinds of photo shoots on those sites.

I have found craigslist helpful when I have been looking for decorations (if you are willing to be patient and check often).  Michaels also prints 40% off coupons most weeks in their ads or online (you can use 1 per day) and this is helpful for certain wedding items as well.  Good luck!

Honestly, asking for recommendations on here and booking early (before rates go up) is how I saved a crap ton.

I got a ton of great deals through stuff girls shared on here. We are a trove of cheap info! I got a lot of deals by going to the dollar store, DIYing, and looking for things that I could use every time I went shopping. It also helps to look outside the box on as much as you can. Things that are often for weddings, brides, etc. are usually more money.

Booking vendors/a venue for the off season and on Fridays or Sundays also can save you a great deal. I got a fantastic deal on my photographer because I'm having a wedding in January on a Friday.

DIY!!!! As much as you can... I saved a boat load on our Guest book wedding tree doing it myself, our cake table bunting, some decorations etc...

Also - if you're a year out - get out at the end of your wedding's season and get some of the "season end" stuff that is discounted. We got a ton of our decor that way. :)

I found the best way to save a TON of money on vendors is to write your budget in your request for a quote. I stumbled upon this by 1) receiving a photographers quote for $2500 2) telling her that my budget was $1500 and then 3) she emailed me back and said she would do it for $1500 - no change in any services. Then, I started emailing people saying I want 10 hours of photography with 2 photographers and all images on a DVD with rights and my budget is $1200-$1500. You would be surprised how many responses I got back!! I had so many options! There were of course some people who said that was too low but tons of photographers gave me quotes in my price range, and I know what they would quote otherwise is much higher.
