It's not the first time this has happened and it won't be the last.  This is how we elect presidents.  There are some serious issues with the electoral college (one glaring one being that a president can lose the popular vote but still win the election), but Bush is not the only person to ever reap the benefits of it.

  • I know the governor doesn't decide, but I think it's funny that the state in question was the one that president's brother was governor of. Personally I think the electoral college is dumb, and we should just stick to the popular vote - Who would you rather have president: Candidate A or B?

What I was trying to say was Bush definitely won fair and square in 2004, but it wasn't that clearcut in 2000. And about Obama, BF's parents think he's Muslim. *headdesk*

I wrote a story about one group *cough* [cult] that preached that the war was a conspiracy for more oil money and other tin-foil hat type stuff. They lived on a school bus and smelled terrible.

Sorry, it's kind of a reference from Opie and Anthony.  They had Jesse Ventura on one day, and he's a huge proponent of the idea that it was a government created attack.  He claims they had construction workers go in to the buildings and paint this stuff called thermite paint onto the walls.  Here's the clip:

  • Everybody knows Bush is behind 9/11, because he wanted an excuse to go to war with Iraq and decided that a conspiracy that ended in the horrific deaths of almost 3 thousand Americans and two long, drawn out wars was the best way to give a big ol' F*CK YOU to Saddam for messin' with his daddy, yo!

Seriously, a guy I used to work with believed that and everytime the subject came up I wanted to dropkick him square in the junk.
