So, I wanted to post this post when the date was exactly one year out (July 12), but life's been so busy between grad school, work, and moving, I just havent gotten a chance lol So I figured if I posted in July that still counts
Here's what we've accomplished so far in our planning:
- Venue
- Florist
- My dress
- My earrings, veil, garter, tiara, grandmother's handkerchief for something old/borrowed
- Bridesmaids gifts
- Flower-girl dress (but we're waiting a bit to order it b/c shes 5 and constantly growing
) - Photographer
- Engagement pics
- Invitations and save the dates
- DIY projects outlined
- My parents gift
- Bought my wedding band
Still need to do:
- Block off hotel rooms
- Book Honeymoon
- His and groomsman attire
- Groomsman gifts
- Cake
- DJ
- His parents gift (I'm finding them harder to shop for
) - In February we go to the venue's taste testing and pick the menu
- Bridesmaid dresses
- My shoes! (I really want to find them already, but I'm just not having any luck )
- Guest favors/gifts
- Finalize guest list
- Finish wedding website
- Register at Macy's
- Find/plan hair stylist and day of make up and style
- Plan/find/organize for rehearsal dinner/cocktail
- Plan/organize day after brunch
- Buy His wedding band
- Marriage License/legal stuff
- Order passport for honeymoon
I think we're doing pretty good for being just a little less then a year out, but I'll definitely be more happy and more relaxed as we cross off more items off of our to do list
