Getting Ready shots

Hello,

How long did your photographer shoot you for the "getting ready" pics?  Do you think a 1/2 hour is enough time?  I only have my photographer for 3 hrs and I'm trying to figure out how to split up the time.  We are not really having a reception (very small ceremony, taking everyone out to a nice dinner), so I don't need to worry about the reception shots.

Any advice appreciated.  Thanks!

What part of the getting ready shots do you want? If you just want pics of you putting on the dress, then I think you're good to go with ½ an hour. If you want H&M, you'll probably need more time than that.

I am only allocating half hour for "getting ready" as I do not want pictures of getting ready per say but rather with my bridesmaids in the room saying putting the vel on or closing the dress or putting the shoes on, exchanging gifts with them or with my mom or FMIL.  Maybe a picture or two when my makeup is being put on but not with the hair at all :(.
