wedding cakes in Buffalo

I am having a super hard time deciding on a place to get my wedding cake from... or even whether I want to do some kind of cake alternative. Mostly I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that I feel most people don't really eat or care about! Ideas, please? =)

Well if you are looking for a bakery there are plently of good ones in BLO. If you are looking for something to do instead of cake here are a few ideas:

-Ice Cream Sundae Bar - I attened a wedding that had one of these and it was so yummy. I probably put on ten pounds in ice cream sundae toppings alone.
-Cheese Cake- They can be beautiful decorate just like.
-Cupcakes- They are all the buzz
    -Chocolate Fountain- So good!

You could do you favorite desserts like a dessert bar. Hope I helped!

Would definitely recommend Dessert deli in Williamsville. They have this "easy on the pocket" line that's pretty affordable. they also do great desserts- we're ordering a croquembouche - aka cream puff tower from them as well. I know of a couple that used only the croquembouche as the wedding cake and somehow put sparklers on it!

I wouldn't recommend cheesecake as the cheaper way to go, but The Cheesecake Place in Amherst has the most AMAZING cheesecake I've ever had and that's where we're getting our cake from.

I am using Muscorelli's. I didn't think they were crazy expensive, and the taste of the cake was incredible! :-)

Yeah, south buffalo, on Abbott Road. My wedding is next week. I can let you know how it turns out, but I've tasted a bunch and they were all super yummy. The pics she has of her past wedding displays were all great too.

We used a woman who cooks out of her kitchen, her name is Linda Pieri. She does the desserts for Cecelia's on Elmwood! AMAZING!! If you want her number I can give it to you. Her small business is named Lady Fingers-- cute huh?

I got a lot of complimetns on the cake. It really was fantastic. And she was so easy to work with. She charged 275 for a 150 person cake. She delivered and decorated it. No hassles, a pleasure to work with! She also gave us another 9" cake for our anniversary.... but it was so delicious that we devoured it on our honeymoon. oops!

We picked Muscoreil's as our vendor, such great people to work with. We saw them at a bridal show and were very upfront & honest with us. Cake tasting was UNBELIEVABLE!!
Can't wait to be Mrs. Sko.

We're doing a dessert table with mini desserts from Butterwood.  We thought that the dessert table would be around $1000 for what we were getting, but it turned out to be closer to $400.  They did a tasting for us so we got to sample a bunch of the desserts and then picked the ones we wanted for the table.  I love icecream and it took a little convincing, but we're also having Nitro Magic for an hour, they make the icecream fresh right in front of your guests and then your guests can go to the toppings bar and add what they want (its a lot like a sundae bar, only with fresh and flavored icecream).

People definitely care about cake! At least our guests did. They still talk about our cake and we got married three years ago. We had Muscoreil's do our cake and they have done every single cake of ours since then. I highly recommend them! Dave is amazing :)

  • To everyone looking for a bakery for their wedding cake, i suggest you do NOT go to Caramici's. They made my cake, and IT FELL OVER BEFORE I GOT TO SEE IT!!! The owner is adament that the only it fell over was if someone had "bumped' tha table, but from the pictures my guests took, its a miracle it even lasted half an hour. The owner was extremely unprofessional and very rude to me when i went to talk to her about what had happened.
  • If my Fi's aunt weren't a professional baker (she is baking our cake as our gift), I would be going to Muscoreil's. Absolutely delicious cakes!  And the flavor selections of their cakes are very unique.
