Can not find the perfect Venue.. Please Help!

I am looking to have an outdoor ceremony & reception around the triangle area at the same place. -Or even an hour or so away if there is such a place! Ideally I would love: No time limits, weekend packages would be great! Dogs allowed. Indoor space, in case it rains and room for bridal parties to get ready. I can have my own caterer for food & alcohol. Nothing too country, as that is nor I or the groom. If possible, a place with a lot of shrubbery and/or flowers.. Even a body of water would be great. We don't want anything too fancy, a private owned land would be great, (Especially because they are not as strict on time limits and such). Our budget is around $5000 if it is a package deal and around $2000 if not. I am in desperate need of help!! NC is so beautiful in the fall and I want to take advantage of the beautiful weather and land on my special day!

There is no perfect venue! I've tried! You won't be able to get everything on your list, so go ahead a prioritize. I was looking for something similar and never found it within our budget. Unless you but up an ad to rent out someone's wonderful house on a lake(which you could try) then there will always be time limits. With extra money and you can get more time almost anywhere though.

Go to the raleigh parks and rec website. They have several historic venues, both out and inside that are all lovely. The only downside is that you aren't allowed to serve alcohol. My best advice is not to worry about whether a venue is technically a "wedding" venue or not. There are plenty of places that aren't typically used for weddings, but host parties on a regular basis so will be more than willing to accommodate you. Find a place you like first, then call ask if they can work with you for a wedding. A lot of times these places will be more flexible with your budget as well, since they may not have set wedding-specific packages. Good luck!
