Sort of DIY Invitations

I bought 4 boxes of 25 each invitation sets.
I am debating on printing them myself or having a professional printer print them.
Either way it'd still be less expensive than what I was going to do from online vendors for wedding invitations.

Has anyone printed the invites themselves? Did you use just Microsoft Word? Or what program did you use? And what font did you use?

Good/Bad thoughts on printing your own invitations.

    As long as your printer produces good quality results and will print on that paper (precut, presumably, and heavier weight than regular paper can both be issues for some printers), it should be fine.

    You can use word, but you will get better results with less rework if you can use something like Publisher that lets you manipulate text boxes and arrange them on a measureable grid.

    look on the box, if theyre wilton, or avery brand there is a website with specific step by step instructions.

    as for printing them, im curious to hear what others say because im comtemplating printing myself or going to kinkos or somewhere.

    I'm using the Wilton Black & White wedding scroll pocketfold invitation kit. It ended up being cheaper than any other way I added up costs.

     Wilton Print has templates for word for the invitations, and they are simple to use. You can download the entire set, including envelopes, in 1 zip file. I haven't printed any except the practice pages or I would upload and show you.

    The actual set up is super easy!
