I've been hit full force with the Christmas spirit bug. 10 days!!!! 10 days!!!

Good morning! Happy Hump Day!

10 days - yikes! The closer it gets the more depressed I get esp after I talk to my family.

I am glad the week is almost over. H and I are going grocery shopping tonight. I am doing some serious baking and cooking next week when I am off. We are even buying everything I need to cook for Christmas bc I don't want to be at the grocery store next week.

I don't blame you. I avoid grocery stores around all holidays! Super crazies. I can handle holiday shopping, just not the grocery kind.

I'm sorry you're depressed about not seeing your family. I can totally understand why. Is your H going to be off anytime while you're off in the next 2 weeks? I got approved today to take the week after Christmas off, I wasn't planning on it, but I have the time so I might as well use it.

Good morning, everyone!

I haven't really been feeling the Christmas mood too much - even though we've got presents wrapped under our tree and the whole apartment is decorated. I think I've been too busy with this whole new job thing. But this morning when I noticed that today is the 15th - all of a sudden I was like, "ZOMG CHRISTMAS IS IN 10 DAYS!!!"

So now I'm definitely feeling it.

Yaay for Christmas!!!

Stacks, I did live in Chicago for 6 years before I moved to Columbus but I actually grew up around Philadelphia (and now my parents live in Maine!). We are going to Florida Dec. 25-30 but I'll be around after that! Maybe we could meet up for lunch on the 31st or something?

Good morning all! I don't like the sound of just 10 more days. I don't even have half of my shopping done. I'll have my parents done tomorrow I guess and that just leaves me with H and his parents. Well, that's not a lot I guess....

We're supposed to get a mix between snow and ice today and tomorrow. I'm interested to see what that does to us.

Work is taking us to lunch and I'm really excited about that. I love free food

Snow baby is pretty much the cutest thing ever.

We dressed the tree last night. One of the bulbs was broken and I got shocked really bad. I can't remember the last time I cried from pain, but I did last night. Now I have 2 little marks that look like fang marks. Awesome.

Hey guys. I got my (expected) rejection from that job I interviewed with last week, so definitely not in the Christmas spirit. At all. I know it's probably for "the best" but it still really upsets me. Especially since they're stupid and said they wanted to keep my CV for another spot and wanted me to tell them when I have a Danish work visa. Hey stupids, I can't get one without company sponsorship. Ridiculous.

Jocelyn is TOOOO cute!

Morning all. I am not Christmas-y at all...Christmas in Chile just doesn't do it for me. I love summer, but it doesn't make me feel like Christmas.

I am also kind of mad at work right now because we just got an e-mail saying that we get a half day on Dec. 24. The 24 is the bigger day here, Santa comes at midnight, so people usually do a big dinner and then do presents late at night, so basically every single company gives you a half day every year, and the 25 is a national holiday. I was thinking that since this year the 25 is a Saturday (which means it's not a day off work), we'd get the full day off on the 24 in order for people to travel without it being totally traffic-y and stressful for such a short time. Apparently not.

Morning ladies! I think our receptionist is out again today. Not surprising, God forbid she work an entire week. And I'm pissed because I didn't bring a book with me today because I'm running errands at lunch so sitting up there will be boooring.

Anyhoo. Christmas is 10 days away, huh? I don't have anything for H's stocking yet and still have to finish my moms. I need to buy something for my brother and sister. I have to go to the post office today to mail my Christmas cards and go tomorrow to mail the IL's photo book. I love Christmas, but the logistics? Not so much.

Thanks guys. I'm so annoyed with them. I even sent the fucking link to the Danish immigration site that said "When you get an offer, you fill out this part, company fills out that part. Company sends it in." I mean, what else am I supposed to do?

LVB - I hope your finger feels better. I'm glad to say I have never been electrocuted. My brother stuck a screw driver in an outlet when we were little. Got a shock and blew a fuse or two.
