Reception Locations In Rochester

I am starting to look at possible places to hold my reception in Rochester.  I want a hotel so it is convenient for guests and so no one has to drink and drive, any suggestions?

See the other recent thread about "Hyatt or Radisson"!

Also, try the Brookwood Inn, Inn at Broadway... if you also just have the reception downtown, not at a hotel, there are plenty of convenient hotel options that would be walkable or a cheap cab fare.

Mine is also at the Woodcliff. Downtown there is the Radisson Riverside or Hyatt. The Del Monte Lodge is also an option if you have a smaller wedding.  There's also the marriott in greece that holds weddings.

I have been to Radison and Marriot for weddings both were wonderfu weddings bt I liked the Marriot better. Food was better, rooms were nicer, staff was friendly.

I'm having mine at the Radisson, so maybe I'm biased, but they have GREAT wedding specialists and are really accomodating.  I looked at the Marriott but the woman there acted like it was such a disservice for her to have to show us the ballroom and answer questions, she barely knew anything we asked, and didn't really seem to give a crap about weddings.  They also didn't even have their 2011 menus out when we were looking (the week of Christmas), let alone their 2012 ones.  I thought it was strange that they were so unprepared.

The Radisson has two people whose only job is to coordinate weddings, so they are really focused on weddings and know lots of valuable information.  They also set up everything and basically act as day-of-coordinators.

I am having mine at the Italian American Center which is about 6 miles from the airport.  They clearly are not a hotel but they have a deal with the Holiday Inn at the Airport for a complimentary shuttle for guests (so no drinking and driving).

    The website:

I have found their prices to be very reasonable and they hold between 150 - 250 guests.

I've heard several wedding photographers say that the Inn on Broadway is their favorite reception site in Rochester.

FYI, I'm not having my reception there, so I'm not biased.  :)

I agree with the above post. I went to a reception at the Inn on Broadway and it was so beautiful.  If I remember correctly though their rooms were a little up there in price.  I have also been to two really fun wedding at the Rochester Plaza (the food was great!)

we're having our wedding at Shadow Lake, but several hotels offer free shuttles to and from if you want to have it there.  I've heard of people also having their wedding at the RIT Inn.  Just another Idea.
