Anyone going to the "Love at Breathtaking Heights" bridal boutique show at the Sears Tower Friday 1/7? I got an invite in the mail yesterday but didnt see a whole lot of info with it!

I got that in the mail too. I'm contemplating going because I work across the street, but it's $10 and even though it's not much, I generally don't pay to go to these bridal show things because I usually find them a waste of time and then leave after I get my free apps and/or swag bag

MrsPaps, I don't have the invite at work, but if I recall correctly, I don't remember it listing much in the way of vendors, which is why I'm a little skeptical of going.

Wow - spamming phone calls?? I've never gotten any of those. More mail from people who are "so excited about my engagement" than I'd ever care to get in my life, yes, but phone calls, no. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

I'm so skeptical of these things...I've been to 3-4 different bridal show type things and the only one that was worth it was one at Smith and Wollensky back in April-ish. And that was only worthwhile because they had a ton of good food/drinks and lots of samples of chocolates!

I went last year because I got free tickets for considering the Met. club for our wedding reception (although that didn't happen). I wouldn't pay to go to a wedding show, but it was the nicest one I have been to. They had free drinks flowing, nice appetizers, and nice vendors. But, I wouldn't pay to go as I said.
