need destin/grayton beach/santa rosa beach area info

hey all! i know it's probably been asked over and over, but i just got engaged, live in louisville, ky, and we're trying to plan a destin/grayton beach/santa rosa beach area (beach) wedding of like 30-50 people (probably sep or oct 2011). all the searching online we've done (as you know) is so overwhelming bc its hard to tell if companies/vendors/services/lodging are legit/nice when you cant check it out in person (we're going to check places out in person, but not for several months). I'd really like to hear from people who have experience with these companies. I'm starting from scratch here and would appreciate ANY info anyone has about any services for a beach wedding/reception in that area, even good beach houses to stay in/get married at. thanks!!

Most everything in that area is pricey that I am aware of... Destin Ft Walton Beach seems to have more reasonable options. Maybe that is just because I am from Pensacola and more familiar because I have been to more wedding  there.

I can tell you first hand because I have been to weddings they have done that they are awesome and do weddings from simple ~ to all out. I don't know how far south they travel but they may be able to refer someone who does and I would trust them because they are so passionate about what they do.

    Hope this helps!

I'm getting married at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin and having the reception at a beach house in Seagrove Beach that we are renting for a week.  Seagrove Beach is right past Seaside (where the Truman show was filmed).  If you go on VRBO you can find tons of cute beach houses in the area!  I am renting the house called Brown Your Buns.  It's really pretty with a nice pool area.  A plus is that it is the only house in the development so far, the rest of the lots are wooded so it is very private and you don't have to worry about noise ordinances!   I'm not sure what vendors you have been looking at to get reviews of so I can't really help you out there yet!
    Good luck planning!

I was going to reccomend Henderson, or Eden Gardens they are both beautiful but very different.
