Las Vegas Custom Cakes- A

We went out last August to taste cakes and new this place was the best. And they didn't dissapoint. We had one layer red velvet with cream cheese filling, one layer chocolate with baileys and one layer vanilla with pear liquer. I also did not have any cake minus the small piece my husband fed me for the picture, but I was told it was amazing. My husband had like 3 pieces the next am and said it was the best cake he ever had. The guests loved it too, and it looked great. The only mishap was that they made the cake exactly like the picture I gave them. We had discussed changing the frosting colors and they did not. Oh well, didn't ruin my wedding. But for others I would just maybe call to confirm when it gets closer to your wedding date. Delivery was on time and email communication was great.

Debi Fit for a Bride-A
Not much to say except she is so friendly, good and easy communication. We carried on my dress and his tux. She steamed them and they looked great!

Things we did that I would recommend

Rent a Car-
We have been to Vegas 3 times now, and while the strip looks intimidating its not that bad. It is helpful on your feet, and nice if you want to take a few guests around. Also saved soooo much money on cabs. When we went in August and did cake tasting, we spent soo much on cabs. I think we only took one cab the whole time we were there for the wedding. Also makes it easy to pick up tuxes and get to and from the airport. We were also able to go to the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead which was nice to get off the strip for a day.

Cabanas-
For our guests the next day we rented two cabanas for they day. We had to rent them from Moorea ( Toptional beach club at mandalay) because not all our guests stayed at Mandalay Bay.  The guy there upgraded us to the Sun Villa and had 50 wristbands for guests, which is what they give to celebs, and it had it's own bathroom, stirpper poll, bed, couch, bar, personal pool and tons of lounge chairs. We were there all day and second to my wedding it was the best part of the trip.

Other tips
Eat, eat, eat the day of. Hard to do, but try. I did not and I payed for it.
Do not plan your wedding over 2 years... too many things change, its too stressful and its just not fun.
Bring your computer- easy to make reservation and find places to eat
Have fun!

If you have any questions feel free to ask!
Thanks again

  • LOVE IT ALL! How much was the cabana rental? We want to do that the day after too! Did you dance it the suite all night or did you hit up any other spots? Thank you! Congratulations!
  • Great to hear you loved LVCC too!

<div>Cabana rental was originally $750 for 12 guests at Moorea we rented 2 and got upgraded. Depending on what day your planning on doing it, there is a good chance you could as well. We were there on a Tuesday during a busy week and it was dead! </div><div>
</div><div>Our original plan was to go to Mix after the bartender left the suite. When we went they said they were closing it was like 12am...I think it was dead so they shut it down. we ended up just going to eye candy and had sooo much fun there. </div><div>
    </div><div>Thanks!</div>
  • OMG! How do you rent a Cabana through Moorea?  This is next on my to-do list.  I was told that non-mandalay guests could not enter the pool area at all.  Did you book the cabana in advance?

</div><div>My husband handled this part because I am not good at telling people things like this. He called to consierge desk alot and spoke to a lisa I think and basically said I'm spending soo much money at your casino and we are getting married here, we are bringing all theses guests who will be spending money too. You need to let us in, they told us the same thing about the regular beach area, and said the only way we could do it was through Moorea. He called and spoke to them alot asked to speak to managers and such. We did book it an advance, I wanna say it was a month from the date and he saved all the emails an convos and phone messages he got JIC when they got there they decided they didn't want to let us in. I was worried, but with persistance it paid off!</div>
  • LOL stripper pole in the cabana!

Congrats and thanks for the reviews!

  • Awesome reviews! Sounds like you had great vendors and a FABULOUS day! Thank you for sharing. Thank you for the crappy iPod dock info! If I stick with the Vista, I will be sure to hit up Brookestone for a potable speaker system, JIC--Because you're not the first person to complain about the dock! Personally...I am against a DJ in a hotel room/suite, and risking a noise violation. I'd rather spend the money on JIC speakers. I'll own them when it's over, or, if I end up not using them, I can return them. That beats jacked up music at my party, or having my guests removed before the party is over, due to DJ noise. One other question--Do you recall the room# of your Vista Suite, since you said the view was great? (the strip view was from which windows? Living room, Dining table, or Bedroom) TIA Congratulations!! : D

</div><div>33135 strip view was in right in front on the bar, the middle of the room..not sure what you call that. Probably the dinning table, I guess. </div><div>
</div><div>You won't be sorry getting those speakers either! If for nothing else then peace of mind.

  • Awesome reviews, good tidbits about the cabana thing too.  Congrats!!
  • Congrats!

Awesome reviews and I think I might do the cabana rental for the day of my wedding for guests since I'm getting married on a Friday night. They will have plenty of time to hang out before having to get ready

</div><div>Furniture was fine...Couch had like two stains on it maybe but everything else looked in good condition. I will say that when I opened the cabinet under the large tv in the living the door was broken, but when shut you cant tell and there is really no need to open it there is nothing in there. The steam room in the master bathroom is a real plus too!</div>
