Good Morning!

Snowy snowy morning. :) I'm obviously 7 years old and I effing love snow. I hate asshat plow truck drivers who think that just because they're on a back road, it's cool to lift their dump part up on the truck while they're driving.  I also hate people in sporty little cars who drive 45 mph on a completely snow covered road and then slide off the side... and look at me with complete hatred because I'm crusing along with no problem. Sorry buddy... I sprung for the 4wd.

Other than that, how is everyone's morning? I already shoveled, so that was my '30 day shred' for today, especially considering I'm sure I'll be shoveling another few times today. Long ass driveways= a massive workout.

Holy hell, I'm hyper. And I haven't even had any caffeine yet.

    I am slightly grumpy because although today is a snow day, I didn't get the call until I was literally on my way out the door.  (So much for sleeping in!) Of course, Mac helped my mood by trying t catch snowflakes in his mouth on our morning walk again.

    Despite the reports on the news that its lightly snowing and not sticking, it is snowing hard and definitely sticking in Plymouth Meeting!  Like LRM, I was up and ready before I saw the snow.  I decided to give it a try getting in since the highways are usually clear.... 476 was not.  I turned around and came home because I'm not driving my little Corolla in the snow at 25mph to get into an office that I hate.  If it stops soon and they clean up, I will give it another try to get in....

    Time for some coffee and breakfast!

    Haha... You guys are lucky. Apparently, our doctor's office never closes. You never know when someone randomly wants to get a colonoscopy...

    My office never closes.  My boss gives us some flexibility to work from home when it's bad, but we have to make that judgement call ourselves.  We never get a phone call or email at 5am telling us to stay home.  It blows.

    morning! this is going to be a post and run because I have my interview today. wish me luck! I've already had a crazy morning. My dad's printer doesn't work so I couldn't print my resume and references. I had my neighbor do it this morn but she only printed one copy each so I have to go to fedex regardless.

    good morning!

    i got up all ready to go to the gym this morning... then i walked outside and saw an inch of snow....  great.  i still went though!  now im at work.  i really really really miss my corporate work environment. now i work in a sweat shop and deal with a-hole's all day.  (k i feel better).

    ETA: BUT i got to wear my new Hunter boots for the first time today. woo!

    Morning ladies.  I was supposed to have lunch with two of my favorite ladies- my nieces Abby and Bridget today.  However, I work up feeling slightly like death, so I think I am going to have to postpone :(

    I'm in the same boat as MH... I can make a "judgement call" on the weather and work from home if I need to.  But its frowned upon.  Of course I didn't bring any work home or my work laptop home with me becuase I didnn't think it would be bad until tonight.  I just emailed my boss that I'm planning to leave in about an hour to try and get into work.  I'm not sure how my Ford Focus will do on the hills I need to go down......  hoping to come home early if I can.  WAs supposed to go to yardley tonight, but now I'm not sure..... 

    I hate snow.

    Uh here in MD we had 3 inches by 6am!  I got to 95 and it hasn't even been plowed yet.  White out conditions, so I called FI to come get me.  Yes, he offered to bring me into work this morning, but I was still angry at him from last night... so my stuborn a$$ said no.  He picked me up at cracker barrel and brought me into work.

    Still waiting for snow here in Annapolis  :(

    All last winter, people kept telling me "we don't get snow like this in Maryland".  I didn't pay attention, becaue, uh yeah, we hardly ever got blizzards in Philly either.  But I had no idea that they just didn't get snow here, like at all.  I'm finally starting to realize that.  I guess we're just too close to the water.

    dibs - Its like that in S. Jersey too.  up to 15-20mi from the beach, there is usually rain or they get skipped all together.  It's something with the water and wind along the shoreline.

    Inspection was scheduled for Monday. But tonight we were supposed to go to Yardley for the mortgage application, but honestly, I want to leave work at 4pm and come home.  Its supposed to get bad later.

    Good morning.  It took me forever to get to work.  My step son's school was not closed or delayed.  I really have no idea who makes those decisions because it was really bad out there.  Drive safe today everyone.

    I work in Annapolis and live just outside in Arnold.  Pretty much the same weather in both places.  My "boss" lives in Crofton.  He couldn't believe the lack of snow when he got to work this morning because there was several inches at his house already.

    Just talked to JEGs.  He made it all the way to work in West Chester and then said he shouldn't have driven out there.  He is not sure how he is going to get home. 

    I just saw that it is supposed to break for a little, so I told him the second it does, bail out of there.

    Oooo..I thought your text said the INSPECTION was this morning.  I see now ;) 
    Yeah, it might be a good idea to reschedule.  Even if you can make out there, you don't want to get stuck out there.

    [Edit]  I just realized you asked how long everything took with JOE.  Sorry I was talking to Poppa G about the inspection when I read your text, so I just read it as you were asking about that.  Oops.

    Everything with Joe took a little over an hour-- mostly because we had to reprint our bank info because it didn't have the name of the bank on the sheets we printed, and we couldn't find a printer that worked.

    Dude, my reading comprehension has been FAIL lately.  I've got too much stuff swimming around in my brain.

    Mana- yeah. I shoveled 3x. When I drove FI to work this morning, there was only an inch. Now? 3.5-4. And not a single plow in sight. Oh, wait. one. He almost took me out because he made such a wide turn in to my lane...

    You know, that's always something I knew about Jersey but I guess I just never put it together that it would be the same way here.

    The adult in me is glad to not have snow so that I don't have to used vacation when the Academy closes, BUT the kid in me really wants snow!!

    First off, good luck Northstar!!  Smile big =) Interviewers love happy people. 

    I got to the gym in the am for the second time this week.  I might actually start becoming a morning person now which is is crazy.  I'm usually miss cranky pants in the morning.

    Everyone drive safe out there!  I'm not getting snow yet but we have freezing rain, sleet, then snow throughout the day today.  Fun! (not)

    Good Morning,  it took me forever to get to work.  I decided to take the train but it took me more than 20 minutes to drive 2 miles, so I missed the first train.   My boss said he may let us leave early today because it's going to get bad this afternoon.

    So there are 3 inches (maybe 2ish) on the ground and I'm at work. WHY?!?!? I had to pick up a Sherpa to get me from the farthest parking lot to my office - NOTHING IS PLOWED and I:M PISSED!

    I'm really sick. And grumpy that I had to come into work. But I figured I should make it in today since it's supposed to be really bad tonight/tomorrow morning.
