Cupcakes

So I know not everyone likes the idea of cupcakes instead of a teired cake, but for those of you who have done or are doing it do you have any suggestions of where to get them and some estimate of the price? I'm not looking for anything decorated with fondant, just simple icing with a flower or two. Thanks!

We did cupcakes for our wedding through Sweet Retreat in Edina. People LOVED them! We did 175 of them and it was around $450.

Ditto colstj1 on Cupcake. We used them for our wedding back in October. I firmly believe that they're the best cupcakes in the Twin Cities (almost everywhere else I've had them, they're wayyyyy tooooo sweet and lack any other flavor.)

The price per cupcake is exactly as listed on the website... no irritating upcharges just because it's for a wedding. You can also rent a tiered display from them and buy an optional mini-cake (which is like $20...) that sits on top for the traditional cutting.

I cannot say enough good things about them.

Another vote for Sweet Treats by Jeff! His cupcakes are AMAZING! And only $17 for filled cupcakes, which is still a really good deal. I've had 7 different flavors and I'm ordering another 4 flavors when I'm back in MN in October. Sooooo yummy!

We had Cupcake cupcakes for my shower and they were absolutely amazing! The white chocolate strawberry was still phenominal even after I smushed it at my bach party (I'd tried to save it for later).

deeefinitely gonna say Wuollet Bakery in Edina. They're amazing and not the tiny cupcakes. We're getting large cupcakes AND a 7" round cake for us to share/cut etc... for our 230 cupcakes and the round it will be $500 and that includes delivery. An awesome price for all of those. Best I've seen yet on here and in my own research. Plus, again they're larger and SO DELICIOUS!

My step mom/dad did Sweet Retreat for theirs and it was the same price and they showed up w/ runny icing

Just a thought, but Muddy Paws does mini cheesecakes, so it would be kind of like cupcakes. Mmmm.... cheesecake......

Cheesecake does sound good! But we already bought our cupcake tower centerpieces. Have you seen the mini cheesecakes? Would they work on something like that?

Well, you don't have to rent the cupcake tower... that's just an option. I still maintain that they're the best cupcakes around ;-)
