NYC Reception/After Party 30 people

Hi All,

We are from Ireland - getting married in Central Park in May.  (staying @ the waldorf) We have 30 guests travelling over and I am looking for advice for reception/after party.

Ideally we would like a nice restaurant and then head to a bar close by to continue on the celebrations. But open to suggestions!

Budget wise looking at around $150 per head.

As we are not locals I am looking for your advice please

$150 per head may be a bit difficult midtown. I would suggest going further up or down like Thalassa at Tribeca or venues down in Brooklyn. 60 Thompson, Dream Hotel, Astra, or InterContinental Hotel at Times Square may have some good options for small groups. You may also try Carlyle Hotel but I think they charge higher than your budget (over $150 for drinks AND dinner - so, if just drinks, they may charge cheaper). May be worth to try.

    Oh how did I forget:
-The Bowery Wine Bar (or Wine Club - not sure)
    - and Wined Up near Union Sq.
Not too flashy venues so I think they should work with your budget. Esp. the second one!

Brilliant - thanks for your suggestions.

    Have been in contact with

    Landmarc,
    The Bowery

will try 60 Thomson as it looks quite pretty and would have the type of space we would like.

Try Kellari Taverna on 44th - I went to a rehearsal dinner there and LOVED it :)

Also look at A Voce in the Time Warner Center.
