What is the most expensive thing you've bought for yourself?  Cars, house, vacations are excluded.

**What is the ITEM, we don't need to know the $ amount it cost.**

Does wedding dress count?  Because that's the most money I've ever spent on a singular item.

    Second is my PS3.  hahaha.

Actually, my fancy red couch might have been more than my PS3.  But I bought it with a gift card from my dad as a housewarming/Christmas/birthday gift, so I don't know if that counts.

Couch, I splurged since I got a free dinning room set so I just combined my budget for the couch.  It's a big sectional...

I had my great-gma's ring re-set before my wedding.  I think purchasing a new band and getting the diamond re-set is probably my most expensive purchase.

I thought of this poll looking at above mentioned ring while washing my hands in the bathroom :)  See, I think about TK in the bathroom... that is a problem!

    Probably electronics?

I think I want to buy myself a black pair of Christian Louboutins for my 30th. This gives me 5 years to save! haha

I didn't even think about house stuff, I just assumed clothing/accessory wise. Our TV, and home furnishings cost a lot more... and those are my biggest purchases.

Did you mean independently purchased? I think FI bought all of our furniture, but there might be some things that we both put money towards.

My Shure wireless microphone. It was really more than I should have been spending at the time, but totally worth it. It's definitely paid for itself over the past 5 years that I've been singing in the band.

Second to that is probably our dog Ezra. We got him from a breeder and since he was my first puppy ever I spent a little more than I should. I felt bad for not rescuing, but when we were looking there were really no small breed puppies up for adoption in our area. Our second dog was a rescue though, so it offsets it a little, heh.

we just remodeled our kitchen.  By far the most money I've spent ever!  I want to buy a pool table for DH's 30th in November.  That will be up there.

I meant purchases FOR YOU.  Whether that's something to wear, or something that you wanted for your home doesn't matter.

Buying furniture or something and spending lots of $ because you HAD TO doesn't count.

    I hope that clarifies.

Excluding furniture and whatnot for the house, the most expensive thing I've ever purchased for myself was probably a laptop I bought many, many years ago.  And I bought it, just because I wanted it  :)

I was THIS CLOSE to buying the most expensive whiskey ever.  It's 131 euro...which is ridonkulous.  But I couldn't justify actually buying it, other than to get my name written in the fancy book at the Jameson Distillery.  They have all the bottles numbered.

Definitely my laptop.  (Another Mac user here).

Other than that, my wedding dress, and also a diamond necklace.  I had my grandmother's engagement ring turned into a necklace, and added a diamond from my mother (she lost one earring, but had the other), and I purchased a diamond for me.  So the necklace has a diamond from each of the three generations in my family.  That was EXPENSIVE, but I don't care.  I love it and will wear it on my wedding day.

Holy crap, Amer. Did they highlight it with unicorn blood and gold???

This is why I just dye it one color (ahem, I'm sorry... COLOR it one color. I always get yelled at for saying dye) and call it a day.

Confession: I have never dyed my hair. Especially at a place where it would have cost $300 ;)

This summer' vacation will probably be up there in terms of frivolous spending we don't need to do.  On the agenda are eating out at a number of Disney World signature restaurants, massages on board the cruise ship, and dinner at Remy, their new signature restaurant that's a $75 upcharge per person plus an additional $99 pp if you want wine pairings (individual glasses will run you maybe $20 a piece...).  Cannot wait ;) I am already plotting to spend more frivolous money next summer an an Alaskan cruise, too.
