AW: Shoe Help?

So, you all remember that fancy schmancy dress I posted a while back? If not, here she is again:

I'm having it hemmed since I can't wear heels with it when I go dancing in November. Since, if you'll remember, my date is 5'7.75" tall in his dress shoes, and I'm 5'5". Le sigh. So, it's going to hit just above my knees.

And I'm on the hunt for shoes. At first I was thinking that I wanted peep toe flats, but then I found these:

They're a kitten heel, so I'm not too worried about height with them (1.5" still puts me at 1.25" shorter than he will be). I'm just concerned that the bow is going to be too much.

So, what are your thoughts/suggestions/feelings? I can dance in pretty much anything, I just need to find something to match the retro feeling of that dress

I love them, and I think they would go with the dress (but of course, I haven't seen the dress in person, so I don't know exactly how it's styled).

CCO, I found those at Payless.

I'm not looking to spend a ton of money. Those that you posted are cute, but I should have said no wedges. I spend a lot of time on my toes while dancing, so flats are good because I can lift my whole foot off the ground, and kitten heels are good because the whole sole isn't off the ground, which helps with the toe taps, wedges just confuse the crap out of me

You ladies rock. I'm glad I didn't buy those shoes yet...

I'm not much help here. I don't own a single pair of dressy flats. Still, I'll do some looking and see if I can find anything.

Ok, you might think I'm crazy with these (<--- clicky) but I think they're fun!! They say "DANCE YOUR ASS OFF!!" to me . . . plus the yellow or red would really pop with the dress I think

Or, these flats (<--- clicky) would work with it (and are super inexpensive!). Um, I might go buy those teal ones right now!!

I also like these (<--- clicky) and they come in fun colors too.

I like these (<--- clicky) A LOT in the pewter color. Also, I'm a big fan of that brand, Seychelles. Their shoes are well-made and tend to fit well.

Another pair of Seychelles (<--- clicky)

I could shop for shoes all day long!!! I found a bunch of others that are fun but they didn't have a heel strap on them and I figured you would need a strap for dancing.

CCO I really like the Christin Michaels, the sparkly ones and the Qupid ones! They're adorable!!

And Meg - I am in LOVE with those Nine West with the ball on them. I'm super paranoid that the ball might be too much action since the dress is so much with the black and white check pattern.

Yeah, the ball is a little extra fun but I think it would go well with the dress. Just don't get too crazy and lose the ball!! (or do!!)
