Vegas Brides

Good Morning Everyone!

I feel so silly even posting this, but I knew if anyone would understand why this made me so excited it would be you guys. Did anyone else catch TLC's new show Vegas Brides? In case you haven't seen it yet, it's like Say Yes To The Dress only in Vegas. I recorded it last night and watched it this morning. In the very first episode they showed MY DRESS hanging up in the shop. I don't know why, but seeing my dress in Vegas made this so real for me. Then I saw all the other brides running around Vegas in their dresses and realized that it's really going to be me soon! I can't believe this is all really happening and wanted to say thanks to everyone who's posted questions and reviews. It's really helped me make my little dream a reality =).

  • My wife watched it and since I love most things Vegas I heard it come on and went in to watch.  Not sure which episode I saw but it had very little to do with Vegas unfortunately.  The first bride was someone who looked kind of like a crack head, as did her bridesmaids (visible sores on arms, lips, etc.; huge fake eyelashes, the clothes they were wearing), and then the show announces they're exotic dancers lol, nailed it.  Oh yeah, and they were having a 'naked' wedding which apparently means clothing is optional.  The other couple decided to get a dress four hours before their wedding, which had a medieval theme with swords, etc.

Hopefully it will get better and have more actual Vegas.

Oh this is SO my kind of trash tv...cant wait.
  • I watched a little bit of it yesterday, I purchased my dress there too!! And I can say that I've never seen either of those guys in that shop and we made several trips there between all the fittings and looking at bridesmaid dresses.  And definitely no one is that helpful in that shop, and it definitely wasn't a full service one like the show tries to make it seem. It's more of a grab the dresses you want to try one and make sure you have someone there to help you get in and out of them.  The people there check on you every now and then to clear out the dresses but was definitely not the same as the show or most bridal shops.  I didn't make it past that dress with the big ugly flower.. and really the only strip club that has both men and women strippers is extra trashy..which might explain the naked wedding a bit better  Smile

I actually didn't make it that far, I got about 20 minutes in and then it felt like most of the other crap my wife watches so I went back to playing call of duty LOL
