Oh Mondays

How was everone's weekend?

I had to get someone to work for me on Friday night since I felt horrible. Sat and Sunday I worked during the day. The Packer game was crazy busy at BWW, but they ended the game with a win!

Potty training is harder with this pup than Maggie was so that is definitely a chore. But otherwise, she is learning basic things just by watching Maggie so that helps. Any suggestions on non-destructable toys? She has gone through two Nila bones so far and they aren't supposed to be able to.

It is a short week, thankfully! I hope it goes pretty fast.

Sorry no suggestions on dog toys.

My weekend was pretty good.  On Saturday FI and I went to a concert.  On Sunday I asked FI's sister if she would be a bridesmaid.  And she cried and said yes.  Later we told FI's mom and she cried too.  It was really sweet.

Other than that, I am coming down with another cold.  I think I have spent more time this fall sick than I have been healthy.  I am so tired of it.

I had a really great weekend. I got to see my dress again (as you all know) and we picked up our wedding bands yesterday. Pre-Thanksgiving dinner with the FIL's last night was great as well.

Stina: Try out the Kong toys. They're a little on the pricier side but they're the only toys Lucy hasn't managed to destroy so they're definitely worth it IMO.

Hiya,I had a decent weekend.  Friday I got to stay in and relax,  BF & I played some video games.

Saturday afternoon I was at the theater for several hours.  I came home to house clean and officially box free. Yay.  We went out to dinner came home relaxed, more video games.  Sunday we went over to a friends' house, we watched football, played some board games.  I finally got to play the game Settlers of Catan.  It took awhile but it was fun. We were there so long I missed last night's episode of The Walking Dead.

Today I am just tired and lazy, but I'm so busy at work.

@Stina - definitely get some Kong toys! My puppy loves the original Kong, in puppy size. Stuff some kibble and some peanute butter in there and she'll be obsessed with it in no time.

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked into them and wasn't sure if she'd be able to bite the pieces off. Maggie was never this bad.

Meh.  I had a rough weekend.  Saturday we painted a room in the basement, and then did the Thanksgiving grocery shopping.  Sunday M and I went to the Eagles-Redskins game at FedCrap Field, and the Eagles lost.  And they didn't really have anything for me to eat, despite the Washington Post telling me they did.  So, that wasn't fun.

I didn't really sleep well last night - we came home after the game and I basically went straight to bed, and then was awake every 2-4 hours.  I don't think I'm going to be here all day either because I really feel like crap.

    Hey everyone!

Our weekend was pretty darn good.  Actually we did a LOT of stuff which I can't believe I did it all in 48 hours.

Saturday I woke up reallly early and finally unpacked the LAST FREAKING MOVING BOX!!!!  It was just towels so I had to wash them anyway but still....no more boxes.  And the boxes in the basement if I haven't touched them in a year I'm having a yard sale.  After the last moving box, I put Buddy in his carrier and put him in the car (with the windows open) and fumigated the house.  I had to keep the house closed for an hour so while we waited I started raking leaves.  BF shows up (he decided to take the day off of work after showing up for work duh) and started raking the leaves even though he is sick as a dog.  After the house was fumigated I had to hot wash all of the upholstery, blankets, etc so I did that.  About this time it's 2pm we are dead tired.  My friend calls me and asked if we wanted to go to the casino to play high stakes bingo.  So we did that and didn't get home from the casino until 2am.  But we did win $50 playing slots.

Sunday we bought groceries for the next two weeks including Thanksgiving.  Good lord.  We got home unloaded groceries, bagged all of the leaves (we used 25 of those big bags you buy for leaves) and then I mowed the lawn (we fight over the lawn mower but I won this time).  My friend came over who I help tutor later on and she had to write a paper for a speech she has to give next week for a class and she decided she wanted to write one about diamond education.  My poor BF was dying because she said she's going to print out the paper and give a copy to her BF lol.  By the time she left it was around 10pm and I went right to bed lol.

This morning I have a sore throat and I feel like I'm getting sick....great.......Anyone want to deliver me some matzo ball soup????

Stina-I will vouch for Kongs until they stop making them!  They are a little pricy but they last forever.  You can also put peanut butter in them or a dog treat it keeps them busy!

rdr-I'll say it again your dress is gorgeous!  I was never a lace fan but after seeing your dress-oh wow!

danser-I was thinking about you this weekend!  I asked BF is Assasin's Creed you can play on a split screen.  He looked at me like I was crazy and the told me no.  So, there's your answer lol.  I love board games as well.  We acquired quite a collection since we were preparing for Hurrican Sandy.  We bought Yahtzee, Uno, Skp Bo, Phase 10, regular playing cards, apples to apples and mancala.  BF told me he bought Monopoly for a "Christmas gift for the house".  I'm hoping to get Risk eventually but that game has started many a family feud in our family usually with my grandfather (god rest his soul) screaming "I FOUGHT IN WWII GOD DA--IT HOW AM I LOSING???" and folding up the board lol.

My weekend wasn't too great either.  It was a lot of me doing homework or fu!cking off when I should have been doing homework, thus prolonging the homework process.  At some point you would like I would learn not to do that.

Anyways I am excited to only have to go to school three days this week but I Think I have to write another paper over this next weekend.  *sigh*

Stina- What about the toys that are rope knots?

Edti: Guess I'll re-post this here too.
My weekend was exhausting. I worked a little less then sixteen hours which I know isn't a ton. Got my workout each day because of the constant lifting dough, baking, packaging, cake decorating, cleaning, and closing. Stress was high too because our trouble worker has now refused to do anything! Her clock is ticking as far as her time at the bakery.

Icing on the cake: my roommate is dealing with massive amounts of family drama and stress and has turned to drinking. Holding her hair up till 5am is starting to become a norm.
So tired........ 14hrs of sleep in the past 4 days. Yay for coffee.

On the bright side I have 7 days of from work and get to see my family tomorrow!!! :D
Plus I get to see Pepper, my old/new landladies dog that I always took care of, tomorrow as well!!
    This is Pep Pep. <3

My weekend was not too bad.

Saturday was..ugh. Watched my youngest sister's last two basketball games. She is such a player!! She's the littlest one one the team, but man, does she play hard, well, and is just awesome! She gets in there and doesn't let anyone intimidate her. They won both games and of course, I was yelling my butt off :)
It was awkward with my mom until my other sister showed up. Then my grandparents came in from TN - so I spent a half hour with them, until I had to get back to the rest of my day.

Sunday FI & I went to go get his shot, then we went to the health food store and found some gluten free bread, pizza, cake mix, and tortilla chips. So now the plan is to make GF pumpkin muffins so he and I can eat them on the way to work.  Then we went to Meijer's and finished our grocery shopping. Then cleaned, dishes, laundry, and watched football. I'm glad the Eagles game was on ESPN - because I was pissed off enough at the Lions, I don't think I could've handled the Eagles too. F*ckers...
Then FI made dinner, which was sooooooo good. Chicken sausage and potatoes. NOM.

Today I'm just over... I am going to try and convince my boss to give me Wednesday off as well. I've got the personal time - and 95% of our crews aren't working, so there's no real point to me being in the office. I also have to try and get two interviews scheduled for next week in FL - If I can do that, then I'll fly down, have my BFF drive me to the interviews - check out the house we are looking at renting, and fly back. *sigh* This moving thing blows sometimes lol.

RDR: your dress is beautiful, and you look amazing in it!

Stina: I've got nothing - my dogs have always chewed through the "indestructible" toys - so I'm not much help

Danser: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Settlers of Catan. My FI and stepdad turned it into a drinking game (every time a specific number was rolled, they had to drink) - and even my youngest (10) sister plays - she beat us all the last time we played!!

Our dogs love their 'squids', which are those two ball Kongs with streamers hanging off of them. They're pretty indestructable too. Bellamy likes flipping them around and smacking himself in the face with it, and Freya likes just prancing around the house with one in her mouth. We got the larger ones for the big dogs, so the Kong is pretty much as big as she is. It's hilarious.

And this weekend was awesome for obvious reasons. I also had good shopping success at Lane Bryant and Forever 21, so that was nice. My brows are threaded, I have a good outfit, I have a ring and I'll have a manicure by the time we see Tyler's family on Thursday. Good times :D.

Stina I would also suggest antlers.  Maus destroys toys like no one's business, but she gnaws on her antler and its still around.  She loves it.

My weekend was all about hiking with Danish Man and Maus, and a whole lot of laundry!  Thank goodness for a short week.

I love Maus in her coat. It's pretty much the cutest thing ever!

I told my dad that the ring cleaned up almost too much and that it's really shiny, and he said that that's my Grandma's love for me shining through. I got all misty and shiz :3.

Speaking of doggies, I took Kaya to her first vet appointment on Saturday morning. Pupdog was TERRIFIED, and hid her little face in my neck most of the time we were there. The vet went over a bunch of things with me, and seemed like a really nice guy, but I think I may look for a new clinic to bring her. He basically gave her a Bortadella (kennel cough) vaccine without even clearing it with me. I guess most of the dogs they see are from pet stores or shelters, where the risk of kennel cough is probably pretty high. I wish I would have had a chance to make that decision myself, but he just gave it to her. Oh well - it doesn't seem to be bothering her. I was so proud of her this weekend. She met a bunch of my friends when they came over Saturday and wasn't the slightest bit nervous. I can't wait to start puppy classes with her! Stina - are you going to do any kind of professional training with your new girl?

I think bordetella is one of the standard vaccinations. I know that they require it if you're ever taking her for boarding, daycare or group training classes of any sort. I don't think it's one of those things that is super optional. Having had two dogs with kennel cough, I would never dream of not vaccinating our babies against bordetella.

Afternoon, ladies.  I'm trying to keep my head above water at work lately (busy) and am sort of bummed to be here on my birthday (ack, 31) but what can you do?  Our weekend was ok, we went out to a dinner on Saturday and took a nice long walk on Sunday.  Tonight we taste-test our wedding food (well, FI gets to taste everything and I get to taste the gluten-free choices).

Maus in her coat = cutest thing ever. My dog is too big for those coats sadly.

Stina- my dog won't chew on Kongs unfortunately...just shoes and bras.  :)

Irish- share the recipe if you can, those sound amazing.

I "second" this but my big guy goes to daycare so we see a lot of dogs get sick if not properly vaccinated.

@Stillwell & Minskat - Thanks - this makes me feel a little better. I just like to know exactly what they're doing to her so I can do my research beforehand, and I didn't think she was getting any more vaccines unitl she was 12 weeks, so it kinda threw me for a loop. You're right though - we'll be doing puppy classes in January, and it's nice to know she won't be at risk for kennel cough.

That really is the only thing we have found that we don't like about the game.

Miniskat - Follow me on pinterest. Most of my recipes lately are coming from there. Except the sausage and potatoes - that's literally all that was in it, outside of whatever spices FI put in it. Not too bad. Got my kids out of school early on Friday to take them for the weekend. My ds was acting up which was rough on us, but they went to my parents on Saturday. Very cool story there, they went to the TV station with my parents (my dad is a lottery official) and got on the radio!!! SO COOL!!

Watched the Ravens game and drank too much...dragging today but happy its a short week!

I worked the entire weekend long. I finally moved from making people's drinks to register and the register makes me nervous.  But after I finish practicing on the register, I just have 3 more tabs to complete in the handbook before I can take the written test and the practical and then I'll be an official employee.

BF surprised me by coming home yesterday.  I didn't really get to spend much time with him because I was at work and then he slept until 8pm.  We set up the new TV (we upgraded from a 19 inch to a 39 inch tv. Video games are so much better!) that he bought yesterday. He also gave me the good news that the company he works for got a dredging contract for the harbors up here so he'll be home all the time soon! I'm so stoked for that!

Other than that, not much happened.  Nothing super exciting anyway.  Now I'm just waiting for Wednesday cuz the BF gets to come home that day for a 5 day break.
