The Night Thread

FI has been at the library since 3 and I'm bored out of my mind. I did go get some lingerie for my b-pics this weekend though. I'm a cheap ass and hit up the sale rack at Target.

Re: The Night Thread

  • Hi Aleigh.  I like the sales racks.  Sometimes you hit the jackpot, sometimes there is nothing at all.  Very cool that you are getting some photos done this week.
  • Sale rack at Target is good.  I got a pair of "slut shoes" (4" black patent leather stiletto's) for my b-pics at Target for about $8 on my way to my photo session :).  I also took one of  H's button downs and I loved the way the pics in that shirt turned out.
  • Have fun doing them aleigh.  I felt fantastic about myself after my session. :)

Good idea on the button down.  FI's birthday is in early May and I was pondering what to get for him.  Now to find a photographer.

Also, FI announced last week he now wants to hire a videographer for the wedding.  I am all for it but it isn't in the budget (he said not to worry about it) and it adds additional stress trying to find one in less than 94 days.  Especially since we live 3+ hours from the wedding/reception site.  I have a list of two that I am going to try and call tomorrow.

  • Some of my motivation for losing weight is b-pics.  I'm hoping sometime next year.

And I'm all for sales racks. I found a fabric curtain at Kohl's yesterday on clearance for $7.00. It was originally $50.

My parents' are coming over for dinner in about an hour so we just spiffed up the house a little bit.  Now I'm watching old Gossip Girl reruns.

  • That's a pretty good deal Barrel. That's almost nothing for that curtain.
  • I love the sales rack (especially at Target).

I kinda hit the videographer jackpot. FI and I didn't really want one and definitely didn't want to spend the money on one. But FIL's are dentists and are going to do a crown for one of FI's uncles for "free" if he videotapes the important parts of the wedding/reception with all his fancy equipment. Works for me!

  • Ya I was pretty excited. And it was actually the color scheme I was looking for.  I lucked out.
  • hi ladies!

I am still exhausted.  Apparently I am getting old and can't stay up late anymore.  I am waiting for 8pm to head to bed.

Barrel - didn't you have a ride or some training to do with your horse this weekend?  How did it go?
  • Hi there. We're watching Fight Club apparently. We were watching Bones season 2, but H just changed the disks.

  • ski- That was last weekend but I sent my horse off to training and got to go ride him Friday.  He's a whole new horse and the trainer had only put 4 rides on him.  I'm super excited to see what he's capable of in 30 days!
    Thanks for asking!
  • So my ring bearer (who will be 4 in June) will be carrying a 3in wide dish instead of a pillow. The ceremony is outside so he will be walking in the grass. Should I put our real rings on there?
  • Barrel, what fun.  I miss having a horse and getting to ride.  I keep telling FI that when we move again, the next house is having a stable and riding arena.

MK- you are killing me.  I want to try just about every recipe you have pinned tonight.  Those sweet potato tator tots and the zuchinni chips looks so good!

I wouldn't. I think the general tradition of having the MOH and/or the BM carry the rings in a pocket are probably the best bet. At least it would err on the safe side, anyway.

i wouldn't use the real rings
  • Hey Mk, I keep hearing about all of your fabulous pins.  Would you be willing to pm your pinterest link?

  • Barrel, seeing your sig pic makes me really excited for the horseback riding lessons that I'm getting this summer.

  • Aleigh - I agree, unless there's a way to secure the rings to the dish, I wouldn't put the real rings in them.
  • Howdy. We are eating dinner (tri-colored rotini with tuna) and H is making me watch Star Wars, the original. We are looking forward to Game of Thrones tonight.

Sir Whisky is currently sprawled across H's lap. He thinks he's getting a bite of tuna, but he thinks wrong.
  • J's BM started drinking at 8am so it is a miracle he actually had the rings, hah.

  • YGPM Barrel.

oh my gosh, I have no idea, haha. J's parents live across from a horse ranch. J used to clean the stalls and toss hay bales (or whatever you do with lifting hay bales) for them, and we went over to get some hay for Tory's kennel on Friday. J asked the woman if she would give me lessons this summer and she said yes. She's super friendly. I have no idea what discipline she does though. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-embarassed.gif" border="0" alt="Embarassed" title="Embarassed" />

my request may be out of line and truly I do not mean to be rude,
will you considure changing the pick at the bottem of your posts?

we are all adults however some of us (me for example) may be more traditional

thank you for reading - I apolgize if this is out of line"

Bahahaha what makes this person think I'm going to change my sig pic for them? I don't even know who they are. Someone with no posts or an avatar.
