Atrium

Anyone been to a wedding here or have their own at the Atrium?  It seems to be within a reasonable price range and the menu looks great.  I am having a problem finding pictures of the interior though.
Any help would be appreciated!

I went there for a bridal show, then went back for an appointment. They were our runner-up, we ended up going with the Graycliff because of the food (quality and quantity) The Atrium food we found to be a little bland, and not nearly the same amount of food as the Graycliff. The Atrium rooms are beautiful though. They have great uplighting. I prefer the smaller downstairs room. Did you check out the pics on their website? They have lots of pics of the interior.

Ack! I just did a whole post with pics and it didn't post lol Here I go again...
We checked this place out when looking for a venue. The staff there were great, very friendly, professional and accomodating. One of my friends were married there and had a fantastic experience. They have updated the lighting fixtures in the mainballroom, which used to be extremely dated looking. They also now include free uplighting. There is also an outdoor pation right off the ballroom that can be used as a ceremony space. The cocktail hour spans across two rooms. One that has alot of stations at tables and the other has some standing stations, a large bar and a ton of seating. There is also a white piano in the one cocktail hour room that is available if you'd like to hire someone to play it.

Took a look at the Atrium today and the inside was BEAUTIFUL (upstairs ball room, which he said u need a min 150 to get that room)!! The cocktail room was very pretty too! I didn't think it was 70s looking or outdated at all!  And the lady that showed us around before we spoke to Bill was soo nice.  Unfortantly the outside grounds are like..non existant. There is a patio where you can get married, which is pretty but just wasn't what we were looking for as far as gardens and flowers etc. It just seemed like there wasn't anywhere to take pictures. But if the outside isnt a big concern, the inside is awesome i thought. I saw pictures how they hold ceremonies inside and it looked really pretty! You get an awesome awesome pkg for like $99, but you could haggle i'm sure. Or take out a few things. And that was for a fri night.. but again, the inside was soo nice! I'm sad the outside wasn't what we were looking for! lol Good luck! =)

I am getting married at the Atrium this November.  Since everything will be after sunset, we weren't concerned about the grounds.  I think you get a lot for your money, and we had a few things thrown in for free since we were only about a year out from our wedding date when we booked.  The ballroom is beautiful with the chandeliers and uplighting.  We also loved the cocktail hour space since it can seat about 150 and have room at the bar for people to stand and eat/drink.  We were very happy with the quality of the food at our tasting.

Thanks for the pics and all of the info from everyone.  It is such a hard place to find pictures of online.  Other places it is easier to find various wedding candids, but can not with the Atrium.  I have heard nice things about it, but never went to a wedding there.
    Thanks again.

I didn't feel as though it looked 70's at all when we went. However I know that they did updates, so I'm assuming prior to that it was looking pretty dated. I know one thing we didn't care for was the lack of any sort of grounds and I also didn't care for how the building looked as you drove up to it. It just kinda looked like a restaurant. But the inside was lovely. I know they have the 150 min. for upstairs but if you fall short of it they have an equation they do to add on $ for the cost per head. I think for us it was going to come out to an additional $10 a head. Or you could always take a few things off since they give you an insane amount of food. The staff here are so nice! I can't emphasize that enough. They continued to follow-up with us for months after seeing the venue until I had emailed them to let them know we booked at another place. Even then they were courteous, wished us well and asked us to keep them in mind if we ever have a party, christening etc. - which I absolutely will.

My MOH just got engaged and mentioned this place. She has a pretty strict budget and is looking to do an off season wedding to save money. Does anyone have an idea as to how much it costs?

<div>They give the price over the phone, and it is quite reasonable.  I forget exactly what it would be for a Friday next July, but slightly over $100 for their top of the line menu.  It included uplighting, Viennese, chair covers and even centerpieces.  I don't know what the centerpieces are like, I'm sure they are artificial, but still nice they include.  </div><div>This brings me to ask-what exactly is "off-season?"  I have seen different times of the year presented as off-season.  Is it Jan-March?</div>

For her, she refers to off season as whatever the venue considers it. She doesn't have a particular month of choice for that reason. However, when I was venue hunting I found off-season to change depending upon the place. I currently can't remember which venue it was in the Norwood region, but they had July and August as "off season" and "in season" was only May, June, September, and October. Thanks for the price quote though and GL searching. This place looks beautiful!

I am paying about 105 before tax/tip for a Saturday night in Nov.  I would think Dec- Feb/March would be the lowest prices.  I got a free upgrade to the platinum menu since I was only about a year out when I booked and I think they were trying to fill up all their open dates.  When I went to look I could tell the centerpieces were not real flowers, but with a room full of people I don't think it would be very noticeable.  If you go with the recommended florist they give you $20 off per table, so I ended up splurging and getting different centerpieces.  The florist also decorates the cocktail hour room and foyer every weekend and will use your colors if you book with them.

I checked it out when we were looking.  We opted not to go with it because there was another wedding the same time as ours, and they would be in the smaller room downstairs right by our bridal suite.  I asked if there was a lock on the suite's door or any way to keep guests from that wedding from going in and they said no.  Also, their cocktail hour would be during our ceremony, then they'd be led downstairs and we'd head into the cocktail hour room.  I asked if they change out all the food between parties if some of our choices were the same, and they said no.  So basically, my guests would be eating food that the other party had just touched and had been sitting out for hours.  This was just a turn-off for me.

The rooms themselves looked nice and the staff was very friendly.  We just couldn't get past the things I mentioned above.

I'm actually get married here in Sept 2012.  I absolutely loved the place.  It's very beautiful and they have done some nice renovations to it.  I guaranteed 200 people and was told I would be the only Wedding there since it was a Saturday night and we guaranteed so many.  I dealt with Betty Ann and she was wonderful and very flexible with any requests or questions I've had so far!

One of my closest friends went to a wedding here and said it was the best wedding she's ever been too.  There is tons of food and you won't break the bank.  My price was in the 150 range including everything.

One of my other friends is having her Wedding here in August and raves all the time about it so far.  I also know a co-worker who had their wedding here and had nothing but great things to say.  Honestly, I've never heard a bad thing about this place so far!

I went to a wedding there in September and everything was beautiful! Great food (especially the dessert presentation which was outside and completely elaborate!)  The bride and groom were very happy with their entire experience there! Good Luck!

I apologize for not responding sooner, but I love hearing everyone's opinions, which all seem to be great for the Atrium.  It does seem beautiful.  I intend on having my ceremony in Church, so the outside grounds don't bother me too much, although, I would like to have Viennese outside.
    Thanks!

We are getting married there in April 2013 and we totally fell in love withthe place.  The staff is professional and so friendly.  The pictures online and even in their brochure do not do it any justice at all.  And they worked with us on the price and gave us some wonderful upgrades.  It is definitely a place worth checking out!
