Yeah...FI and I are watching it. That was really scary. The re-play made it look very intense. I think they stated he was moving his arms at some point while on the ground. Nonetheless, still a hard hit.

I'm watching RedZone but they keep showing it. That's so scary, I hope he's okay.

I don't know if anyone remembers when Kevin Everett of the BIlls was knocked out on the field 2 years ago. They thought he would be paralyzed for life but he has made amazing recoveries. We were at the game when he got hurt and it was so scary and the stadium gets so eerily quiet. We were also at the game last year when Everett walked onto the field to thank everyone for their support, and that was an amazing feeling.

It was a good, "bad" hit. The ball carrier lowered his head, and two guys came in from each side, with their heads lowered (as you're supposed to do, to not hit helmet to helmet) and basically crunched his neck. The other guy didn't hit him too hard.

He was moving his left leg on the ground, but I really couldn't tell if it was twitching or being moved purposely.

It didn't look too horrible at the time, just like a hard hit. But then they showed up basically paralyzed on the ground and his arms were twitching.

What creeped me out most was the way his body seemed to completely seize up on the ground and he was just frozen in the way he fell.

It was really scary. It pisses me off that the Eagles players and fans were still making a scene about the play (although I agree it was a fumble), there is a guy not moving on the field and they didn't really care.

I also have a FB "friend" who is a Philly fan who said "he did it to himself. that's what they get paid for." She definitely just got deleted for the most ignorant thing I heard today.

Thankfully, buddy was moving his legs and arms. I hate when that stuff happens.

I agree Snippy. Thats really scary when you see his arms still shaped like they are holding the ball and you know he's out of it and seriously hurt.

It was a shame that Collie was injured, but the un-necessary roughness call on the defenders was unfair. I think the fans were pretty upset that blame was being put on the defenders, when the hit was clean. I hope that Collie is okay and I hope that the defenders don't get fined post-game.

Yeah, honestly, I don't think there should have been a personal foul call on that either, but from what the announcers said, they refs have to call that no matter what.

The call was shiit. No doubt. But the complete disregard for a guy who is laying on the field frozen is even more shiit. If the guy was actually hurt (which they just said he's up and alert) what does a bad call even matter. Let's hope a player can walk.

The penalty was for a helmet-to-helmet hit. The second defender that comes in on the hit does hit him helmet-to-helmet. I don't think its one that would have been called if it weren't all 3 hitting him. Now they are really stepping up on excessively hard hits, so I think when all 3 came in they called it.

The RedZone channel is definitely one of my new favorite things. Its so nice to be able to see every TD and big play.

On a side note. Of course it worked out that this is our "rivalry week" in our fantasy league, and my rival in the league is of course H. So go figure I have to play him the weekend he leaves, and now I'm pretty much kicking his ass, and have to feel a little guilty about it.

Haha I hate when H does stuff like that. One of his usual lines is when he goes to take a nap on the couch, and I'm already sitting or laying down. He'll lay down, grab a blanket, and then say "babe will you get up and turn off the light please."
