Rabbi and a Pastor?

Hi Everyone,

I am going to be getting married in Colorado and I wanted to know if anyone has every heard of, or plans to have an interfaith marriage. My fiance and I would like both religious leaders present - but is this possible? My cousin did this, but she had a judge perform the wedding and had a pastor and rabbit present....

Talk to your rabbi and your pastor and find out if they're willing and able to do it.

I live in CA and when I was engaged many years ago, I found a bunch of rabbi's willing to co-officiate a wedding.

Check out Interfaithfamily.com. They have a service to refer you to rabbis willing to perform such ceremonies.

Yes it happens all the time. Just make sure both your officiants are cool with it.

I used to work for a rabbi and she refused to co-officiate - she would marry an interfaith couple, but only if she was the sole officiant. I'm not suggesting this will happen in your case, I only bring it up as an fyi. As long as both officiants know your plans I'm sure you'll have a lovely ceremony.
