Has anyone used a travel agent in the Portland area that they would recommend?

    No, sorry. I didn't even know they existed anymore since the advent of Orbitz. Good luck.

    My family has used the same one for years, but she's out of McMinnville. She's fabulous though, Maureen Roemmic with McMinnville Travel. The last time I went to the caribbean she found us plane tickets to Florida for under $200/person.

    I too thought travel agents were nonexistent at this point.  But I keep hearing that they can actually find you better deals.  I've done my research online so I know what it would cost if we book it all ourselves and now I want to see what a travel agent says!  Thanks for Maureen's info.  I will definately give her a call!
