Morning?

Any turkeys out there?

I have already had a very busy morning. Up at 4:30 due to a crazy dream I have already walked the dog, did the dishes, and mopped the house. Now I am watching tivoed Bridezillas and enjoying a cup of coffee.

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving weekend?

Re: Morning?

  • Hello!! A P &R - I had a great Thanksgiving, lots of family in town and I even cooked some (a rare occurrence for me!) and all turned out great!

Alas, now it is time to head to work....at least I'm on outpatient medicine for another 10 days - meaning I have an 8-5 day, wahoo! :)

    Good morning!

Unfortunately, H and I were up half of the night with tummy aches, which made for an interrupted night of sleep. I hope that we aren't getting sick. I want today to go by fast so we can go to bed early tonight.

We had a nice, relaxing and quiet Thanksgiving weekend. Definitely got some much needed r&r in.

    Have a great day everyone!
  • Good morning! We had a good weekend, but it's never long enough.

I'm gettin' my cyber monday on right now before I go into work...

  • Good Morning.  My Thanksgiving was wonderful......
  • Good morning! I had a great Thanksgiving. Just H and me. I cooked the feast because I'm awesome at it and have been living off the leftovers since.

Work is...well, retail this time ofyear. So it's crazy. I can't wait until I can take two days off in a row!

  • Morning.  Our Thanksgiving was meh.  We decided we're going on a cruise for turkey day next year.   Rest of the weekend was good; we spent it unpacking/organizing.  Last night we decided to take a break and Mr. Arb took me to see HP  I can't wait for the last one!

Exactly! H and I have seen it twice. They said on the news this morning that it is the the highest grossing HP thus far. July will definitely be something to look forward to.
  • Good morning, all.  My turkey day was great.  I wish the weekend went by slower.  I'm doing a little cyber monday shopping, myself!

  • Good morning! I had a pretty great weekend! Thanksgiving was a good one this year. Every other year my cousin comes and those are always the good years because it means Mr P and I aren't the youngest people at my Aunt's house. Food was eaten, (a lot) of wine was drunk, and horribly inappropriate conversations were had at the dinner table. What more can I ask? Oh! And I finally got to meet my friends twins! And they're adorable!
  • Good morning!

LTB, I'm with you...it was nice to have four days off, but four days off without H and without the car for some of those days?  Not as fun.  On the plus side, I got in a lot of Christmas knitting, baking, and Law and Order: SVU.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Morning? : We did one a couple of years ago. It was pretty nice. The only part I wasn't a fan of is there were a ton of kids and it made using the pools impossible.

The one we're looking at has an adult only pool, so that's a plus.  It also leaves from Baltimore, so we don't have to worry about flying anywhere either.

  • Morning. Back at work, not ready to face the day today. Finished up shopping for my girls this morning (thank you, cyber Monday!). Now I only have to get something for my nieces and nephew, and I'm done. Finished up gifts for parents and siblings yesterday (bottles of homemade limoncello and trivets made from wine corks). 3 weeks of work until next break. I think I can make it, I think I can make it, I think I can make it...
  • LTB - it goes to the Southern Caribbean.  The only real downside to leaving from Baltimore is that you pretty much have to spend two full days at sea first to get anywhere.

  • Good morning!

My Thanksgiving was okay. Two couples in my family are getting divorced/ being unfaithful, so it was an interesting day.

I'm about to get out of bed and get ready for work, only 2 more weeks until my last day!
  • What uuuuuuuuuuuuuup?!  I'm hiding in the house even though it's finally sunny outside.  It's all of -14 and 20mph winds.  Noooo thanks.
  • Morning ladies!  My Thanksgiving was good, weekend was too short, but we got some more stuff organized at the apt and started hanging pictures so it's really coming together and feeling like home :)

Counting down until Christmas vaca now!

  • Man I wish it was going to be christmas tomorrow. I just can't wait. I can't convince FI to get our tree up yet but I will soon. Victory will be mine!

Why do you know if a partner is being unfaithful?  That's kind of weird.
  • Morning! My weekend was great - office Olympics on Friday were fun, then we had the weekend and did Thanksgiving yesterday. I have leftovers for lunch and can't wait.

This morning I almost got hit by a car on my bike but saw it coming from a mile away and managed to avoid it. Lady in a giant SUV, on the phone, motioning to the car next to her that she wanted to turn left - I knew she wasn't going to look to see me crossing the street. I went slowly, but she literally did not see me even when I was in front of her, so my bike fell down, and I ended up yelling at her. I think I scared her more than she scared me, so hopefully she'll look where she's going next time, but I need H to realign my brakes now because they're a bit off.
  • My kitten is a pervert :( he was just laying in his litter box watching my other cat use her litter box. I hope I don't have to put a sign in the yard and register online for his offenses.

  • Good morning!

I love 4-day weekends, but man does it make it hard to be back.  Time for some retail therapy :)

  • Turkey day was good.  I did a LOT of cleaning/organizing.  Got out the new dishes, christened the new breadmaker.  We are working on getting all the stuff from the basement either thrown out or stored in the attics so we can redo the basement this winter, and some of the stuff from the attics is just getting thrown out, so there have been lots of stairs climbed this weekend.
I start my new work schedule today - 2nd shift - 3 - midnight.  So far, with being able to stay up Sunday night and watch football and not have to be up and the crack of dawn, I like it :).
  • I already ordered some stuff from NY&Co because everything is 50% off and they have free shipping.

  • I'm jealous with the shopping you guys get.  They only do sales 2x's a year here.

Rosie, I think you should put up a little screen or something! lol

<div>I introduced my best friend to my cousin and they got married and just had a baby, but she tells me everything. And, the other woman has been posting pictures of her and my cousin kissing and holding hands on her Facebook(real mature, right), so they're not exactly keeping it a secret.</div>
  • Loopy, what do you do? If you're comfortable sharing, that is.
  • I have been in production planning for the past 2 1/2 years, and purchasing before that, but just took a shop supervisor position.  It's a "lateral promotion" if there's any such thing... a resume builder to get me direct supervisory experience as a career growth stepping stone... blah, blah, blah...
I got a raise, and get paid overtime for weekend coverage.  That's all that matters right?
  • Morning! Turkey was fun and H and I put the Christmas tree up, so it's officially festive in my house.
