Mountain View Manor - Ardmore Mansion reviews + weekend wedding site help plea

Hi all,

My fiance and I have been scouring the tri-state area (like less than 3 hours from NYC) for a pretty, rustic inn to get married at.  We definitely want a place where people can stay at the site and hang out on the grounds starting on Friday.  We want an evening party, and we would be really pleased if our budget did not go over 25K.  I'd prefer to have the ceremony at a non-denominational church or inside somewhere, but I can be bullied into anything.

We've looked at:

inn at stone ridge
full moon
the garrison
race brook
bucksteep manor
crossed keys inn
montauk mountain house.
and some others?  At this point it's a blur.  Some are great, none are perfect.

Wondering if anyone has experience with Mountain View Manor in NY - or if they have any sites they can recommend in the tristate area (I'd be into Pennsylvania, as well, but I haven't even started to open up that can of worms).

Thank you!

Onteora House is beautiful but I've heard mixed reviews about the food.  There is also Bear Mountain.

My cousin got married at Mountain View Manor in Glen Spay.  The front of the venue was beautiful, rear, not so much.  Food was very good and service as very good, too.  Rooms were nice (a little small) and overall, all of the guests had a great time.  I saw her proofs, and her photog got some great shots!

    Hi,

We are booked at the mountain view manor for next June 4th.  It is a beautiful location. They have nine beautiful rooms right in the mansion you can rent all weekend. But The motel rooms they have are two steps up from camping. They are clean, but very rustic.

Orest the owner seems to be really helpful so far. The booking comes with a wedding planner. If you have more questions email me at jennandmikeswedding@yahoo.com. More than happy to help if I can!

    Take care,
    Jenn
