    Both rings are from Jared - Ana, I love the one in Plantation! They are really great to work with

    Engagement cost "more than my wedding band " according to DH - its a .58 ct square brilliant cut stone VS(1), Near colorless. 14 ct. White gold





    Wedding band is raised setting with five round cut diamonds and 3 round parve diamonds on each side.  Cost ~$600 .  I believe total weight on that is around .75 cts, 14 ct. white gold

    I think it's crazy (in a cool way) that we've had no duplications yet.  I seriously can't pick a favorite.  Everyone's ring is beautiful.

    Thanks for the tip!  I love your band too.  That looks like what I had planned on getting, but I don't think the straight version will fit.  We are definitely going to look at Jared now.  If I hadn't gotten this advice from you guys I never wouldn've gone because I hate the Jared commercials so much :)

    Calindi & GPB, I want to play as well.  Maybe in a couple years.  Or three or four.  For now I'll just have to settle for looking at everybody else's rings.

    My ring (in my avatar) is engraved white gold with a 2.45ct lab sapphire, it was under $300 from mastergoldcraft on Etsy, IIRC.
    The bands I've been looking at are curved (to fit against the e-ring) white gold with diamonds, 1/5 to 1/2 ct depending on the band, $450ish to $1k (which is over budget but we've had generous discounts offered on those)

    Im not sure the size but it was between 1k and 2k and was purchased from a local family jeweler. My FI got the pick the setting, stone and personal engravings on the inside and out.

    The center stone is 1.25 ct and the stones around that and on the band are a little over 1 ct. FI spent about $7K on the ring and it was appraised for $12.  He saved up the money to pay cash for the ring.

    I love my e-ring, it is perfect!

    Engagement ring and wedding band

    Engagement ring :Purchased at Shane Co. 14k White gold band and setting with six round diamonds on each side of the band at .16 ct. Four fancy shape diamonds at .36 ct
    Center stone is brilliant cut round - .35ct I2 clarity and I color - TCW of ring is .52 ct. I originally thought I wanted/needed something bigger - but I very much prefer the vintage/dainty look on my hand.  We paid 1800 after taxes.

    We had been talking about rings and getting engaged a few months when we went into Shane Co. on halloween before a costume party. He is the one who found the perfect setting and even when we chose the diamond He nailed the mark. I cried and still even almost a year later still can't stop staring at it through my day :)

    Someday I will get to play with the big girls...

    It's true though, everybody's rings are so unique and suited to their personality.  It makes me wonder what my SO will pick out to compliment my personality. I don't think they make "bitch" rings. Meh.

    Ah I'm late to this :(

    Anywho, the center stone is 1/2 carat, VVS2, E color, $1800...I am not sure what the specs are of the other diamonds. FI bought the center stone in a solitaire setting, and just recently bought the new setting for me. He said the side stones and the ones in the band are "similar" to that of the center stone. Whatever that means. And...yes he bought the wedding band way too early. He said he really liked it and was afraid it would be bought before he had a chance to. Both rings are palladium. I really don't have any idea about total cost of either ring, but I'm HOPING he spent less than $1K on the band and less than $3K on the engagement ring.

    Oh and for scale, my ring size is 3.5. Same as my mom :)
