Wedding Woes

:: jo ::

have you looked at ebay for handles?  my parents re-did their kitchen a few years back, and my dad wanted to sell their old solid brass knobs on ebay.  he was shocked to see the same ones he paid $20 each for selling for $1 each on ebay.

so ... good for buying, not so much for selling.

also, check out a habitat for humanity restore, if you have one near you.  in this area, it's a lot of contractor overrruns so some good deals to be had.

:: sigh ::
i wish i had a house.  just for the shopping opportunities.

    they also sell cloisonne knobs at world market, if you're thinking of something a little more bohemian but not too laurentian.

    my parents used to rehab houses.  i HATED going with them to trips to home depot but i'm way grateful now.  also, it prevented me from throwing any wild parties while they were gone because i knew *exactly* how much house things cost.

    World Market is having a Friends & Family 25% off sale right now, too. I can email you a coupon if you're interested.

    That would be awesome Myrtle, I'd appreciate it. We are going tonight to pick up paint and door hinges, I may grab one or two different handles to test. And I could hit up the Cost Plus Sunday.
