First RSVPs received- warm fuzzy feelings?

I mailed out my invites Monday morning.  The first 9 came back today and I can barely wait for FI to get here so we can open them together.  I have to admit, I have the guilts b/c I held one up to the light to snoop.

I am so much more excited than I thought I would be. To the married ladies, what other moments like this are there to look forward to, and to the soon to be married ladies, what are you expecting to give you the warm fuzzies?

Not all- just the first batch :) I don't have that kind of self control.

I drove him crazy all during the planning with the "it's our wedding, so you also need to look and decide on these photographers, venues, invites, hm places, etc,"crap that the least I can do is provide him with this one more bit of torture.  But seriously, I'd like to think he'll be as excited as I am right now.

With getting invites back, almost everyday in  those 6 weeks were like Christmas for me lol. I got excited for all of the times a BBB box came to the door before the shower, no self control at all lol The day of the wedding my dad made my heart melt. I could cry right now thinking about it. He pulled me out into the hallway and said: "Jay, you know how much I love you right? I just want you to know that if you ever need to come home, you're room will always be there. I love you with all my heart" and he gave me a big hug and kiss. I think that's all I got.

I feel bad, I never even thought about opening them together!

We mailed our invites on a Monday. The first response came that Wednesday. It was the only one that day. But it was a yes from my sister's in-laws. Seriously, everyday until the Tuesday after the due date we got some responses in. Some days only had 1, others had as many as 9. It was exciting to see them all! But as the weeks until your wedding go on, it will be a wonderful time!

    Congrats on being so close!

Getting the first ones are fun, it's waiting for the final ones - and the waiting continues and continues well past the deadline because many folks just don't practice etiquette and common courtesy.

    So enjoy it now... :)
