None of my bridesmaids live in the same state or time zone..gahh so annoying!!

I have 5 bms and none live in NC. One is moving to Scotland, one in Arizona, one in Florida, one in D.C., and one in Wilmington, NC. I want to plan like a lunch or something so they can get to know each other, but I don't think that will ever happen. They are all so different that I wanted them to meet each other before the bachelorette party, but I guess its wishful thinking! Two don't have a david's bridal anywhere near them to try on their dress..this sucks! I had to get out my frustration!

I can see how that would be frustrating. I bet they will all get along great at the bachelorette party and enjoy themselves.  Can your bridesmaid just have their measurements taken somewhere and call in their order to David's Bridal? I had to do that once and I just made sure to order it plenty big knowing measurements can be taken differently places. I had to get the dress taken in but it was better than it being too small!

    Good luck with everything!

I feel you. I have one in Texas, one in London, one in VA Beach and the only one close to me lives in Charlotte. I tried to get them all together over NYE (Texas BM was going to fly in, London BM was already here visiting and VA Beach BM was going to drive in and we'd all go to Charlotte...) Didn't work out (VA Beach didn't want to drive, Texas couldn't get off work... London and CLT met though!) It's tough! There have been lots of email chats with all four of them so I think they're starting to get to know each other that way. :)

Also, two of my my BMs were/are pregnant- one just gave birth, the other is due in Sept. That throws in a whole other set of challenges!

And about the dress- oh my lord I thought it was going to be so easy! Two of my BMs came along and chose two dresses, then we sorta put it to an email vote. Pregnant BM #1 hated all dresses, declared none would work for her, and then almost pulled out of the wedding BUT fortunately she came around. She couldn't try on the dress (well she could, but she didn't) so she just ended up ordering blind. She ended up liking it, and all is well. If you've already chosen the dress and are pretty sure it will work for everyone, they can just get measured and order it and it should be fine. What does their dress look like?

    Good luck! It'll work out!

I have the same problem.  My sister is in Raleigh but the other two girls live in San Fran and Seattle.  FI has it worse though; one of his groomsmen doesn't even live in the US!!

Wow!  I thought it was bad to have them spread from the one of the western most points (Franklin, NC) to the eastern most points (New Bern, NC)!

Its so tough to have everyone spread...I can only imagine across the states...and the world!

I did my dresses through an online retailer to save my BMs money and got measurements (Talk about stress is trying to look at measurements to a size...I swear they will all have to have them taken in or have their feelings hurt from what size I ordered...but I'd rather be safe than sorry.  They just came in yesterday and our wedding is barely a month away....yikes!)

I'm sure they will all get along wonderfully when together for the first time...chances are...most of your friends are very different but have some similarity to each other which is why you're friends with them.  At least that's how my friends are...we're all wide open! =) Good luck!

I think the dress I want them to wear will work for all of them..just got to get them measured. One of my bm's (Scotland) won't be back in the US til 4 days before the wedding!! Two of the bms are my cousins so hopefully they like my friends that are my bridesmaids. It will work out..it has to right?

It will be fine! Seriously, it will all work out. Or at least, if there are any problems with mine (2.5ish months away) I'll let you know and you can plan for surprises. :)

My BM in London is also pregnant- she'll be back in the US for the wedding but that's it. She had her BM dress shipped to her parents' house in PA and she's going to have it quickly altered when she is there before she comes down for the wedding. That's so a) the royal postal service doesn't eat the dress (it's happened) and b) due to the baby coming so her body will be differently shaped. I'm nervous about it, but I know it will be fine!

That would be so frustrating for me, too!  Two of my bridesmaids live in Raleigh, and I'm close to Greensboro....just that small two hour drive is bad enough for me!  Hang in there!
