Wedding Stories RI - feedback needed

Hi Ladies - I'm visiting from the Boston board in hopes that I can get some feedback on videography by Wedding Stories RI. This is a last minute thing I'm now thinking about given that I am 4 weeks out (crazy I know!).

We used John for our october wedding. Turnaround time for our video was about 2 1/2 months. It might be shorter for you since you're an off season wedding. i know he was a bit back logged from all the winter weddings.

he did a great job. We went with his top pkg that included some interviews and also he came with 2 assistants.

Our video consists on 4 video montages which focus on getting ready, video shot during formal pics, video shot while we were going to different locations for our pics, the ceremony is on there in its entirety, as well as all the formal things at the reception..dances, cake cutting, speeches, and some real time dancing from the ceremony. The video wraps up with the montage that he has on his blog now.

we almost didn't get video but heard from everyone you'll regret it. I'm glad we did....he captured so many things from the day.

overall- I'd recmmd him..a great experience and money well spent.

Holly, I loved your montage on his blog and wondered how that fit into the overall presentation he gave you. It's hard to tell from the montages what the actual videos look like but I'm sure we'll see some tonight. Did you get a teaser early at all or did you have to wait for it to go on the blog/get your discs?

I adore John. He is so passionate about his work! He is truly an artist and gets really great angles. Is so NOT that cheesy in-your-face videographer. I booked him for our wedding!

I just signed the contract and mailed him my deposit. I wasn't planning on having a videographer but was talked into it. It took me months after meeting with a bunch of videographers to make my decision. John was patient, he would check in with me every now and then (not annoying in any way but very nice to know he remmebered me). He is such a nice guy I can't wait to work with him on my wedding.

Hey ladies! I was just looking into this too - would anyone mind PMing me the pricing? I thought thepros.com was a great deal til I read some negative reviews, and decided to try to go with someone who I know has a good rep. You definitely get what you pay for, and a wedding video is something I really want
