  We did the same for both of our parents.
  
  Rehearsal Dinner: We gave them a Lenox Invitation Frame (matched our flutes/serving set) but instead of the invite on the one side, it was a poem (one from each of us directed to our parents.. (I have the poems if you want them) and the other side we left open for a pic from the rehearsal dinner... and we also wrote a little note inside the card. We gave them each a copy of the wedding video too.

  For Christmas (we were married in November) I made 12x12 books on MixBox, basically personalized parent books... CLICK as well as a 11x14 pic of the family from wedding day!

  I went to the Lenox outlet and bought my parents and his dad picture frames.  For my parents we bought one that had a spot for our invitation and then also a picture.  For his dad we just bought and regular frame.
  
  We also paid for a hotel room for my parents.  They were planning on going home that night and we wanted to make sure they enjoyed themselves.  For his dad, we bought a bottle of Johnnie Walker blue label (his favorite for special occasions).

  Double picture frame, for pictures from the wedding to go into. Left side I wrote a poem , right side for a picture.
  
  For my dad, GC to omaha steaks as he loves steak.
  My mom - willow tree mother daughter
  
  IL's - FIL gift certificate to some restaurant
  MIL - same frame with a poem I wrote her t hanking her for raising DH so well, other side for a picture, and a willow tree mother son.

  BP-- whats a willow tree??
  
  I am stuck on my Dad. my Stepmom passed away last year, so its hard I dont wanna do a 'couples' thing ie: hotel, dinner, concert etc.
  
  and I dont think he would really be into a picture frame. I am stuck!!
  
  we got Fi parents a hote in AC and concert tickets.
