Locations for engagement photos?

I'm from Jacksonville and am trying to think up places for the engagement photo shoot and am not coming up with ANYTHING.  Do you ladies have any ideas?  Thanks in advance for your help!

    It really depends on what you're looking for. My initial suggestion is St. Augustine because that's where we did ours. It's a popular engagement photo spot. You can also do them at any of the local beaches, parks in the Riverside area, etc. Are you looking for something specific?

    I've REALLY got my heart set on the gardens at the Cummer.  I don't know if they allow that sort of thing, though.  I'm still waiting to hear back from the event manager.  I guess ideas parallel to that are what I'm really hoping for.

    That's where I'm getting married! :) I'm not sure what their policy is on e-pics though. We did ours in historic Fernandina and we got a great variety of shots. I loved that location. There are a few of the pics in my bio.

    Also, are you doing them in the pretty near future? The gardens are probably pretty brown right now. Things should just be greening up and blooming right around my wedding (Mid March.)

    Well we got married in St. Augustine, and I thought it was the perfect backdrop for photos.  There are so many great places to take pics there.  You can check our photographer's blog if you want (http://jaimesmithphotography.typepad.com/) because she's done quite a few shoots down there.

    I happen to like photos that are a little different. I would say someplace unique, like someplace that doesn't look like it would be that pretty....

    I would have to agree w/brimcleod. My favorite series of pics are the ones we did on the railroad tracks.

    I tried to go with something opposite of what will be in our wedding pics... our wedding is going to be beachside so for our epics we went to St. Augustine (Flagler College, Lightner Museum, back roads & the carousel) - this way we'll have a lot of variety! HTH
