Hotels/Inns in Spring Lake area

Hi - just set my wedding date for June 2, 2012 in Spring Lake. Since it's post-Memorial Day, I'm looking for reasonably priced hotels/inns/motels to recommend to my wedding party and out of town guests. Any suggestions? I'm calling places, but looking for any recommendations that have been test-driven by people on here (or their guests) Also - has anyone in that area done shuttles for guests from hotels to reception and back again? Recommended companies? Companies to avoid? Thanks! :)

    Hi -
Congratulations! My sister got married in Spring Lake and we found there are  not any good chain hotels nearby. My sister had guests stay in The Chateau and The Spring Lake Inn. Some guests stayed at Doolans. She didn't have a shuttle but there are taxi companies that have vans (Briggs is one).

We had our wedding at the Mill at Spring Lake Heights and hotel blocks were for Sea Girt Lodge (which I don't think anyone stayed at cause it wasn't that great and the most expensive), the Sheraton Eatontown and the Staybridge Suites Eatontown (the last two are where most of our guests and we stayed).  We had a charter bus  (I believe from Andiamo, my inlaws dealt with this) run from the hotels in Eatontown (which share the same parking lot) to the Mill.  It was about a 15-25 minute drive depending on traffic.

I am getting married in Spring Lake this month. Most places in and around Spring Lake are B&B's and are very pricey. You need to go about 30 minutes outside on Spring Lake to get a chain hotel. Most of them require a 2 night minimum since it is tourist season.

I'm also getting married in Spring Lake (at The Mill). Agree that all of the hotels and B&Bs there were insanely expensive. Our guests as well as myself are staying at the Staybridge Suites in Eatontown.

My friends got married at the Mill in Spring Lake and we stayed at the Doubletree in Eatontown.  Very convenient because it's right next to the Parkway/Rt 18.  We are getting married at Clarks Landing in Pt. Pleasant and reserved rooms at the Ramada in Toms River.  It may be a little further for your guests, but we're getting married Labor Day Weekend next year and they gave us the best price hands down (plus we checked it out and is very nice inside).  For a shuttle, we are using Olympic, who also gave us a great rate.

I am getting married in a few weeks at the Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club.  We ran into the same problem.  I felt bad asking my guests to stay at a B&B since they were all pretty expensive.  FI and I are staying at the Chateau the night of but again they require a 2 night minimum.
We have chosen 2 hotels for our guests.  we booked the Courtyard Marriott in Wall Township which is about 9 miles.  They would only let us reserve a certain number of nights and we needed more than what they would give us.  We also reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express in Neptune.  It is 3 miles from the Marriott and is brand new.  Make sure to book early as both of those hotels have 2 other weddings staying the same night as mine.
