January 2012 Weddings

Why Hello There!

I miss you guys so much! I read everyday, just dont have time to post at work! I'm still super happy with my job and things are going well.

DH and I went looking at houses this past weekend and fell in love with one! We submitted the loan paperwork yesterday and already heard back from the loan officer today. I wish I could say it was fantastic news but its not horrible news. We have a little work to do in order to get DH's credit score up to what it needs to be. We both want this house so we plan on cutting back on all the extras for a while.

I'm officially going back to school! My class starts next Monday. I should finish by August next year. WOOHOO!

I hope all is going well with you, I'm going to try to pop in a little more often, fingers crossed I can make it happen!

  • Great to hear from you! I'm glad things are going well. It's wonderful how well your new/old job is working out for you. Sorry to hear about your H's credit score. I know too well how that is. My credit is terrible! We are trying to work on H's score so when it comes time for us to buy a house at least one of us can have a good score.

Tara, I'll share with you some info we just found out about. When you apply for a home loan as co-applicants the lender will pull the 3 scores for you and the 3 scores for your husband. They then look at the middle score of both of you and use the lowest middle score to determine your loan. So if you plan to buy a house as co-applicants you should work on your credit too! I wish I had know this before (well I wish I would have know a lot of home loan stuff before!) so we had more time to work on it.

<div>That's for the tip. I really am trying to work on mine but it's hard when I can't afford some of my minimum credit card payments each month. </div>

This is awesome to know! We are getting ready to start looking at houses in the near future.

It is GOOD to hear from you too! I am glad things are going well.
