This weekend went by way too fast! The weather is getting so nice out, I don't want to be stuck in work all week.

H and I are anxiously awaiting the season finale of The Walking Dead.

ewww report cards! I have a stack of work to grade at school that I just sort of shift around the room ....I should probably start grading it so that students have time to bring up their grades before the quarter ends in a few weeks.

We have brought home a houndie for a 2-week trial period, to see how she does with Rufus. We're having trouble agreeing on a name. These are the names we're considering:

Penny
Daisy
Sophie
Melody
Cassidy
Mavis

My favorite is Penny, H's favorites are Daisy and Melody.

I just got back from my parents'. My dad found me a used sewing machine at a yard sale. It's ancient but I don't even care, I'm so excited to have one so I can stop bumming at my mom's. This will hold me over until we have a little extra so I can afford one of my own. Now I'm just doing some homework and knotting before bed.

I like Penny as well.

I'm sitting here watching Friends until TAR comes on, which is delayed due to basketball.

I went home this weekend. It almost felt like I was hardly there. I did stop and see my grandfather on the way and it seems he's started going through stuff in the attic/closets. He gave me a shelf that I made in Bible School over 20 years ago. I remembered it. He also gave me a DVD full of pictures one of my uncles scanned from old slides from my grandfather's time in the army as well as my dad & his siblings when they were little kids.

Rufus seems rather put out, to be honest. But she's being really good with him. She's trying to be friendly with him, in a non-overbearing way, and he's just kind of harrumphing about it. She doesn't push the issue. Ruf keeps trying to leave the room to pout, but we keep bringing him back and showing him a lot of love so he'll hopefully understand that he's not being edged out of the pack.

I know what you mean, bree. Photographer created albums are outrageously expensive. They always do a great job, but yeah I'd rather spend my time than my money, heh. I made our guestbook photo album on mixbook and it turned out great, so really it just is a matter of motivation!
