Lets play....

Pick a restaurant for DH and I to go to!  Celebrating my bday, but unfortunately I can't really drink since I have an interview tomorrow AM... so we're focusing on food.

Please suggest a place in Plymouth Meeting/Norristown/KOP/Conshy area pweez!

I am not sure if you have an aversion to chain restaurants but DH and I recently stumbled upon Redstone Grill in Plymouth Meeting and loved everything we had. Plus, I know you said you aren't drinking ::much:: but they have awesome pineapple-infused vodka drinks there!

I would say Rockbottom Brewery, but I'm mad at them for taking short ribs off of the menu.

    Maggianos!!

Oooh Rock Bottom is good too! And of course Maggiano's...

Jess - You guys should check it out. The food is really good and I like the atmosphere (and the pineapple vodka) :)

My mom and I always go there when we're in KOP because there's rarely a wait and the food is really good.

ButI don't recommend the chicken fried chicken.  Unless you love gravy.  I don't love gravy.  I was a bit disappointed in that one.  But when we went their last time... my mom really really wanted a reuben, except with turkey and cole slaw instead of corned beef and sauerkraut, and they made it for her!

Gino's in Norristown is good.  They aren't really fancy but they have good homemade Italian food.

Coyote Crossing in Conshy has really tasty Mexican food.

Lemongrass in KOP isn't a fancy place, but the Thai food there was awesome.

And I was just at Bahama Breeze in KOP this weekend. We sat in the screened in patio area and they had palm trees and heaters running on high and it really did feel like we were on vacation someplace warm for those two hours.

If you like Thia food you should try Thia Orchid in Blue Bell (not far from the gym).

No, but I've been wanting to try it.  It's always busy when I go by.

I've been wanting to try it as well. DH and I are super curious about it.  It looks more like a catering hall than a restaurant though.  Probably expensive too.

I just told Miguel that when we're ready to go to dinner, if we're really hungry we'll go to From the Boot and stuff ourselves with Italian food but if we're not feeling like being stuffed then we can try Lai Lai  :)

I would go to the Thai place, but he's not into experimenting and doesn't usually eat Thai food.  We went to Redstone not too long ago, and I agree with Madam that it was really good.  We did feel a little rushed though because there was  wait at the door and we could tell our server wanted us to leave (not in a rude way, just kept looking at us).

Bummer about RedStone. But we went for a late lunch time frame and it wasn't crowded at all so that may have been why our experience was so relaxed there...

    Enjoy, wherever you go!
