When to give priest/church donation

I know I'm overthinking this.... but when is it appropriate to give the priest the donation that we plan to give? Should we give it at the rehearsal or day of the wedding? I was sort of leaning towards rehearsal....but just wanted to see what was expected or what others have done.

I hadn't even thought of doing at the rehearsal!  I am now doing it at the rehearsal :)  Will probably give the musicians their card/gift then as well since they're church volunteers.

we gave the priest all envelopes as well as the marriage license, the night before at the rehearsal.

    this was:
    his requested donation (plus extra)
    the church donation
    the altar boys
    teh organist

Traditionally, the best man gives the envelope to the priest after the ceremony.

I don't know what happens in real life though

I sent my priest his donation with my thank you note (sent the day after the wedding).  The church donation was given at the time I paid the church's fees (a few days before the wedding).

I kind of like the idea of giving it to him on the day of the rehearsal. One less thing to worry about on ur wedding day!
