  They didn't have the professional as an option at our Macy's... so we went with the Artisan. I've used both and they both work great! I think its just a matter of preference.

  I got the Artisan last year for Christmas and love it. It was really just a personal preference - I just preferred the look of the tilt head over the bowl lift.

  We regestred for the Red one lol...I don't really know how much i will use it, but it just seemed like a must have...And it will look cute in the kitchen. I love the color.

  I always thought I would register for the Pro - I am a baker.  But, my FI has a 1000watt Cuisenart with a 7qt bowl - puts all the KitchenAid models to shame.  Great is you a baker - the motor is powerful and double baches of everything are easy!
