I'm not official:

My ad blocking is a firefox addon called noscript. You can make the ads and the flashing picture of napkins go away on the right side.

Noscript blocks all java so you have to reallow it where you want it. (This isn't as big a pain as it sounds.)

I've used that before, but I use a bunch of sites with scripts so it wasn't really practical. It's cool for most people I think. I just use adblock and manually block anything it doesn't catch.

I'm seriously annoyed that the board itself isn't in its own frame anymore. Too much crap.

Can we get a wider version? Will they let us? This is so frickin' skinny. If anyone posts anything remotely long my eyes might explode.

Have you tried greasemonkey + platypus (both firefox plugins)

Totally possible to completely change the layout of the boards with platypus, save the script and use it with greasemonkey.
