I can't speak to the price etc. but I can give a review! We went there for a wedding last summer and had an absolute blast! It was such a gorgeous ceremony and fun reception. That being said, you need to have the right personality to pull off a wedding here. It's very rustic and simple. It fit the wedding party and it's guests perfectly but may not be for everyone. For example, the only restrooms available are portapotties. Nice ones of course but portapotties none the less. The ceremony was held in the hay mow area with small candles hung from the rafters. After the ceremony guests went down to the milk parlor for apps and drinks. The yard around the barn can be set up with lawn games too. There is a horse pasture bordering the barn and the horses were running all around- very cool. During that time the hay mow was being transformed into the dining area. The food was great! After dinner, tables were moved and made room for dancing. Like I said- it is absolutely gorgeous if you like simple, rustic settings. I would have loved to have my wedding there but it would be too far. Which reminds me- you should arrange for a shuttle if guests will be drinking b/c the hotels are a solid 20+ min drive. Hope this helps a little! Good luck! : )

I'm actually from the Hillsdale area so I have to 100% agree with PP about the hotels. I'd say your closest drive to a hotel though is in Chetek or Rice Lake, but it's a lot of backroads around that area all together so be sure your guests know their way. Chetek also has some cute resorts on the lake if you've got guests looking for something other than a hotel or if you and FI want somewhere cozy to stay that night. Hope that helps!

I just canceled my Enchanted Barn wedding...they are difficult to get ahold of so you need to be prepared for a lot of trying to figure out what the heck is going on. I've also talked to some brides that were NOT fans afterwards (apparently he has been known to give tours during rehearsal and early on in the wedding day). It really depends on how you envision things I suppose and if you're ok with things kind of being laissez faire. The package comes with one hors d'oeurve for cocktail hour and one entree. Everything else is additional. For just that, it will be around $7200 (based on 100 people). I think when I was adding an additonal hors d'oeurve and entree it came out to right under $10k. Good luck! (p.s. that doesn't include alcohol).

  • I just finally heard back from them (took them a couple weeks to respond). Prices are insane! $7800 for the cheapest "package" - up to 75 guests. And this doesn't even include alcohol- guests still have to pay for that. Oh, and if you want a Saturday in May June or August, add 1000 bucks.

Way out of my price range. Looking into Mulberry Lane Farm ($2500) & the Brickhouse Getaway ($1500)  in the same area. For $2500, you can rent Brickhouse Getaway's barn and house (4 bedroom) for an entire weekend! That's a pretty sweet deal.
