Best Photographer in Columbus

We recently had our engagement photos taken by Julie Linz and I wanted to pass along her information to anyone who needs a wedding/engagement photographer!  Julie is one of the nicest people I have met since I moved to Columbus and her work is phenomenal!!!!  She will even create a DVD of some of the photos she takes during the engagement sessions and will set them to music!  From her website, you can click on the "Enter Blog" link to see her videos and her awesome work. Julie truly has a gift for photography and captured our personalities perfectly in all of our photos!  Often times you'll see wonderful engagement photos, but it's rare that someone can create such a beautiful story out of a still shot.  She does so with ease and I cannot say enough great things about her talent!! You must check her out!!

I promise I'm not a vendor!  This is my first post because I'm crazy busy and haven't had much time to spend on the site!  We're not getting married until August 20 so I don't have any other vendor reviews to post just yet, but here are some other things I can tell you so you hopefully know that my post was purely written with the best intentions!

Flowers: Kroger in Grandview (AWESOME job there as well and very cost effective!!)
Church: Trinity United Methodist in Grandview
Reception: Elks Lodge in Grove City (Very helful staff so far!  My fiance and I are on a very tight budget and are having a very casual reception. They have been great to work with in terms of our needs and the building was built in 2003, so is still quite new and in great condition!)
Hair:  Jennifer King from Salon Lofts (She has been my stylist for a while now and has always been awesome as well!!  She does travel too if you have bridesmaids like me who would rather be in the comforts of your home rather than in a salon for the morning!!)
Music:  Columbus Platinum Party DJ's (Seem very nice and helpful so far and work at a great price as well!)
Cake: Homemade by my fiance's grandma:0).

Hopefully this helps you know that although I haven't posted before I had a wonderful experience and just wanted to help anyone else who's not familiar with the city to find a great resource!  Sorry for any confusion or misperception!!

Meghan:  We have a lot of problems with vendors here, some people are often on high alert.  I will say, my first thought was that you may be a vendor....reviews aren't generally that glowing until post wedding, when it's wrapped with a bunch of other things.  And, it's usually unusual that someone's first post is a glowing review for someone.

That being said, come back and play sometimes!!! I swear we are a great group of gals! Whenever you have time, share some more details.  Particularly of your dress....I know I'm a dress wh0re :-)  Good luck with the final stages of wedding planning.  Also, if you need make up, talk to the ladies at the make up counters at Macys!  They can help you out!

I can totally understand and I definitely did not mean to throw up any red flags!!  I am just a huge believer in giving as much credit where it's due and I truly believe she does deserve it!!

Thank you for your kind reply and I'd love to tell you about my dress:0).  I used to work at a bridal shop before I moved to Columbus, so I can totally relate to the interest in that area!  My dress is a Maggie Sottero - Autumn. I'm pretty simple in style, so I found this dress and fell in love!  I bought it without showing anyone else, so I was nervous for a little while, but when it came in I showed it to some of my close family and friends and have had unanimous approval from them!!  What dress will you be wearing?!?

Thank you so much on the tip for make-up!  I will have to check out Macy's for sure!!

You're getting married in 9 days?!?!?  How exciting!!  Congratulations to you and I hope you have a wonderful wedding day and an awesome future with your husband:0).

Ooooh, your dress is soooooo pretty! I have the Alfred Angelo Style 2100! I saw it in a bunch of mags and was surprised that it looked just as good on as it did in the magazine, especially since that neckline could have been very tricky.

We are getting married in 9 days, I can't believe it!  I'll be posting my vendor reviews probably in August, since we'll be on our honeymoon for the two weeks after the wedding. I've been lucky to find these ladies that helped me find some of the best deals, so I want to continue to share that info with other brides!

Thank you!  Your dress is gorgeous!!!  I love how elegant and soft it is!  The dress looks like it will have great movement and you'll look stunning out on the dancefloor!  Excellent choice!

I agree - when I've had time to check out the posts on this site, I've also found some very helpful hints! This site actually led me to go to Kroger in Grandview! I also found some awesome 7-hour floating candles on Candle4Less that we'll be using at the reception!!  That's why I wanted to post my initial blog about about Julie because it's so hard to sift through all of the options to find everything!!

Best to you!  I hope you and your fiance can find some time to relax between now and your big day!!
