I'm so confused!

What the HE-Double hockeysticks happened today?

Someone care to fill me in, by PM or on here, so I don't have to read 600+ posts total?

Re: I'm so confused!

  • Amoro got banned for some unknown reason and subsequently GBCK'd (I think... maybe?). Dani quit as E mod. Harry Potter and junk food talk ensued.

    Voila.

  • I don't know what dressed popcorn means either..
  • I'm hoping it means something yummy, or else I will be disappointed.

  • I think her post earlier said it was popcorn with seasoning salt and butter on it, with peanut m&ms mixed in while the popcorn was still hot.

  • It's seasoning salt, but all-dressed flavour (like the chips?). It's from Kernels.

Heh, maybe we're usually on at different times. I've been around since Nov 2008, when I got engaged. We've been married since January. I'm finishing up grad school up here in Boston. I have two kittens (one of whom just sliced me up, OW!) and play the tuba and swing dance for fun.

    You?

Opal, you play the tuba?  I played the tuba in high school!  (I didn't really choose to, but I was good at it, and it grew on me).

    Yay for female tuba players!

  • Opal, I've seen you lately, but I think maybe you've lurked more lately, with the craziness.

Opal's cool.  We've been out for drinks/dinner a few times.  I highly recommend supplying her with white peach sangria if you can.  It's super fun.  :D

  • Did somebody say sangria?
    Photobucket
  • Sure do. I switched to it in college, played in marching band for a while, and now I'm in a symphony orchestra. I get awesome stares hauling that thing around campus.

Squirrly makes a bitchin' sangria. And when I drink it, I talk too loudly and tell stories about the time my mom made "fuzzle navy" cake.

[QUOTE]You were NOT loud at all.  Louder than normal for you, but quiet for our crowd.  Awesome sangria: 2 bottles pinot grigio 1/3 c vodka (citrus or peach infused is best) 2/3 c peach schnapps 3 - 4 Tbsp lemon juice 4 - 6 Tbps sugar (finer is better - powdered is best) 2 peaches, sliced Mix, chill, serve.  If Saturday is any indication, you'll need at least 3 recipes worth.

I think sangria is one of my most favorite things ever.  Thanks for the recipe, I'll be trying that one soon.

  • Well, I sounded loud in my head, Squirrly. Which is probably a measure of how wicked strong that sangria was.

Frosting, sorry to hear about your wedding woes. I hope everyone is healthy and hired soon.

Not even kidding, this was the second bad-for-you food I posted. I LOVE milk duds adn popcorn. Especially when the popcorn is superfresh and it melts the milk duds a little bit. OMG.

  • Opal, be forewarned - my red sangrias are WAY stronger.  I usually make those with the intent of people cutting them 50% with club soda or sprite.

And, in the winter, I do kick-ass mulled wine and spiked spiced cider.
