Honeymoon

Hi Ladies!

I'm pretty sure FI and I have decided to book a cruise for our honeymoon. We've never really been on a true cruise, only the 3 day Bahamas type. So, any recommendations? Which ship or which islands are the best? Any recs, opinions and/or advice would be much appreciated!!

I've been on tons (mom is in the industry) and it really depends what you are looking for. Things to consider: how many days? do you want a ship with a million things to do or something more laid back? Leaving from FL or flying somewhere?

Probably 7-8 days and leaving from Florida(Ft. Lauderdale or Miami). Probably something more laid back because we want to kick back and relax on our honeymoon. We still would like to see and do some fun things, like excursions and so on.

We did an 8 day Carnival Freedom HM. It went to Cozumel, Panama, and Costa Rica. We wanted to go some different places. It was a ton of fun and we relaly enjoyed it. It left out of Fort Lauderdale.

I really like NCL. They have a new ship (Epic) that I am dying to go on. I went on the Jewel and we stopped at Puerto Rico, Antigua, St. Thomas and the Bahamas and it was for 7 days. It was a great trip and really enjoyed all of those islands.

I recently went on a shorter cruise with RC. Can't remember the name at the moment, but we stopped at Key West and Cozumel. The ship wasn't that great. Key West was a great stop. I know what you're thinking we're in Florida why would I stop at Key West. lol Well we rented a scooter and drove around the entire island! It was so much fun. Cozumel was fun but only because we rented a scooter and stayed away from the tourist traps. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this if you don't feel comfortable going off the beaten path. HTH!
