Photos in public places?

Hi everyone,

Can wedding photos be taken without license or fee in public places in Hawaii?

For exemple, at the beach or in a park?

Thank you very much

From what I understood from our photographer she needed a permit to shoot on the beach, but she took care of that herself so we didn't have to worry about it. I don't know about parks.

My planner told me I was required to have a permit.. we are getting married on a public beach. But he is purchasing it for us and it is only 20 bucks- small fee for a beautiful wedding and equally outstanding pictures.

Technically, yes.  It depends where you go on whether or not it is enforced.  Better to just be safe and get one...
